She was kicked through the wall of the building. She shakily stood up as the person she fought walked through the now collapsed wall of the building.
"Give up, and come with me." He said, his gruff voice split through the night air.
"No." She said. She readied her sword in front of her. She needed to think of something, fast.
. . .
Tamamo, Ritsuka, Scathach and Mash walked through the flaming city. They took the only path available to them; the road. It was the only thing that wasn't on fire except for a stray building or two.
They were currently heading to the flooded area. Searching for new allies was kind of meaningless without a destination to go to, so they decided to choose the destination which was the opposite of this one.
"How much longer?" Asked Tamamo.
"We still have a day or two till we arrive." Mash stated.
"Stop whining." Said Scathach. "My students have done harder than this in their sleep."
Ritsuka just raised an eyebrow at that comment. How do you do...anything while asleep?
Tamamo sighed. "Fiiiiiiiine." She said. Looking up, her eyes widened. "Um, do you guys see that too?" She asked, pointing a shaky finger to the sky.
The other three looked up confused, only to see a giant black dragon flying around in the sky. It had a slight green symbol on it's chest. Ritsuka and Mash's eyes widened. They met him once more, and never forgot.
"Fafnir." Ritsuka muttered.
"Wait, did I just hear you right?! That's Fafnir?!" Cried out Tamamo.
"It is. We fought him before." Stated Ritsuka. "But that time, I had multiple servants with me..."
Scathach put her hand on his shoulder, giving him a reassuring nod. "We get more allies. Then we'll be able to face that dragon. For now, we stay out of sight."
Ritsuka nodded. "Thanks." He smiled.
The group continued to walk through the flaming city, heading towards their next destination.
. . .
Cu stared out of the window, analyzing the outside, while Ayako sat down.
"See anything?" Asked Ayako.
"Ruins and fire." Cu stated.
"Okay. See anyone?" Ayako asked, sighing.
"No." Replied Cu.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" Asked Ayako.
"I think it depends on who shows up." Cu said. Watching through the window, he continued to wait. This was his second day of just waiting for anyone to appear. He was starting to think it may not work.
And then it happened. People appeared. To be more specific, four people appeared, and two of them Cu recognized.
"Ayako, we are going now." Cu said, grabbing her hand and pulling her.
"What is it?!" Yelled Ayako in alarm.
"Tamamo and Scathach!" Cu yelled, before the two ran out of the house, towards the four people that arrived outside of their safe house.
. . .
The group sat around the fire, warming themselves up from the freezing cold. In their venture upwards, it had become even colder than before, causing them to take more frequent breaks.
