I took an apple with me then drove to work
Today was a regular work day checking in with my fellow workers and getting some work done there so I wouldn't have to do it at home
My close friend came up to me all happy
"Hey y/n" she said hugging me and I hugged her back
"Don't hey me Bell," I said pulling away
"Where tf were you for the meeting yesterday?" I asked crossing my arms
"They ain't tell you I was sick" she said taking a seat in my chair so I leaned on the wall
"Girl you know nobody talks to me in the office" I said smiling and she laughed
"You right. Have you heard what they've been saying lately" she looked at my work then me and I gave that look
The look that says that I haven't heard what they were saying
She sighed
"They were quick to assume you and Mr. Hacker are fucking" she looked at me for a reaction
"I mean he did try and hit on me but we literally just met so I said no" I said and her eyes went big
"He tried to flirt-" I quickly covered her mouth shooshing her
"Yes but I'll tell you that story at my place" I took my hand from her mouth
She nodded her head and we laughed
*after work*
Bell came over and I told her everything that happened
"I think you should do it" she says getting something from the fridge
"Do what"
"Go on that little date" she said taking out my cake I bought 2 days ago
"It's not a date it's just going out for dinner" I said trying to not call it that
"It's a date" she said then grabbed my shoulders
"You should go. I'm tired of seeing you lonely after all these years" she said taking her hands off of me and grabbing 2 forks
I smiled grabbing one and we ate the cake together talking about random things
*An hour later* She left an I was left alone
What she said ran through my mind and I went searching for the paper Vinnie gave me
"C'mon where is it" I said frustrated looking through my drawers
I looked in my last drawer finding an didn't see it
I sighed sitting on the floor face in hands
I took one look around the floor and saw it
"Omg thhaannkk you" I said to the universe
I put his number in and when it came to texting I chickened for moment
I nervously typed hi and threw my phone on my bed not looking at it
I got up and started walking back and forth across my room waiting for a reply
A couple minutes past and I heard my phone ding
I quickly jumped on my bed picking my phone up and saw his reply
"Who is this?" it read
I quickly typed away
"Y/n from work" he seen and replied right away
"How could I forgot you" my stomach filled with butterflies and my hands kinda got shaky
"I was wondering if that dinner could still happen tomorrow night" I asked nervous he might say no
"Yeah give me your address and I'll pick you up at 8pm" he said and I smiled so hard my face began to hurt
I sent him my address and got really excited for tomorrow then got serious
"Y/n calm down it's just a date" I say to myself and I changed into some comfortable clothes and stayed up rereading the conversation I just had with him
I told Bell about it then went to sleep to get all pretty for tomorrow
I hope he doesn't break my heart
