Chapter 4

By the time I got home Papa was home, that means it was about 6:00 , I left the school around 12:00. That means I spent six hours walking home, what a waste of time. 

I unlocked the door and father burst in hysterics, he was sitting at the dinning room table with. Hello who are you, some really cute guy. Blonde short hair that kind of covered his ears but swept back so it wouldn't get in his eyes. 

Sort of pale skin but it didn't matter, he was wearing a white tank top, grey kakis and sandals. Even through his tank top you could see his six pack, once he turned I could see he had a gentle face with pretty sky blue eyes. 

He was incredibly cute, I was at the point trying so hard to not let out a girly flirty giggle. I kept it all in my head and mustered up  the courage to say 

" hi " 

He smiled showing two large fangs and said " hello miss Celeste " 

My father was still laughing as hard as he could while rolling on the ground like an animal. 

I said in a questioning tone " miss? " 

" you will be my coworker starting tomorrow " 

I said " coworker? tomorrow! papa what does he mean? " 

Papa got up and said " starting tomorrow you will work at my business " 

Now that he mentions it I didn't really know what papa did. I did know that he was the boss of a company. 

I said " so then what will I be doing? " 

Papa said " you'll be a Ranger " 

" and what exactly will I be catching " 

He said " illegal creatures that come across the borer and attack humans " 

I said " ah, and why do I have to do this? " 

Papa said " because you're my daughter and I will be passing down the company to you someday " 

I nodded my head and said " that makes perfect sense " 

Papa snapped at me " don't be smart with me, young lady " 

I said " sorry papa " 

I turned to the guy that was just sitting there watching our conversation I said 

" so you must be really talented to make papa laugh " 

The guy said " oh I was just telling him how I used to watch you play in the thicket in Tennessee " 

My face went from joyful to confused I said 

" what? " 

He said " yeah I used to watch you all the time " 

I gave it a second before saying " ...what? " 

My face turned from confused to creped out in a flash, he noticed and said 

" don't worry this was before your father hired me " 

How was that suppose to make me feel better I said 

" .....what " 

He said " yeah the thicket that you use to play in was a local wormhole from hell to earth " 

I got a bit scared and said " you know what.....look at the time....I think...I have some " 

I dashed up the stairs, I heard the guy say 

" permission to chase after your daughter " 

papa said " permission granted " 

The guy got up from his chair and ran after me, I was only half way up the stairs when he was right behind me. What was this guy?
