After that little moment of embarrassment, the Kelpie made me grab his bag from downstairs then bring it to the bathroom. He quickly changed into regular street clothes then fled the house saying

" I'll be back for dinner "

Of course Elaine and I were suprised that he put his clothes on and ran out the door well within 5 min.

I was downstairs with Elaine who slept on the couch, she asked " can we go down to the library, I need to research on the history of Lincoln for that paper due on Tuesday "

I snorted " you can just look at my paper, I finished it a week ago "

She shook her head " it's not cool to copy, plus you can go read up on myths and ledgens. To find something out about your little problem with the Kelpie. "

I started to think about it, a thought arose in my head. The Kelpie said to not ask questions and no contact with him. He never told me I couldn't research, soooo.

I quickly ran upstairs changed into black leggings, pale blue shorts, a pink short sleeve shirt and black vans. I put my hair into a side pony tail and washed my face. By the time I had finished and ran back downstairs Elaine was dressed and ready to go with her bag on her arm.

I walked out the door without my purse, phone, or wallet. Looks like I wouldn't be having any fun while we were out. As we stood outside on the porch, I wondered how we would actually get to the library.

That's when a black an yellow Honda Accord pulled up, when did Elaine call a taxi. How come I did't hear her on the phone either. The back door of the car opened magically, oh how scared was I to get into an unidentafied car.

' The perfect crime: A sixteen year old girl steps into a taxi to take a ride to the town with her friend and never comes back ' I thought

Elaine looked at me with spite " you know I would never hire someone to kill you, when I could do it myself

I pity laughed at myself " haha does everyone hate me " I shuffled down the stairs behind Eaine.

She scooted to the end on the other end, before I sat down I took one look around the vinard. Why would my father buy the house if we didn't even like grapes. I sat down on the dirty, worn leather seats strucken with holes.

I'm pretty sure I fell through one of the hole three times before we arrived at destination, I couldn't even discribe the pain that had swollen in my butt. I weakly opened the door and stepped onto the sidewalk, Elaine slided out of the Honda without even paying. The driver just closed the door and drove away.

" why didn't you pay him? " I questioned her

" he's my buddy we used to train together, I asked him to pick us up "

" Sooo, he's another demon? " I questioned her again

" yeah " she replied

I asked " so he's rouge too? "

" no, but he's keeping my location hidden " she kept walking but looked at the ground in loss, she must have really considered this person as a friend. I felt kind of sad for her, but I also suffered the same loss. The person I loved had to be wisked away, out of my arms and into anothers.

I asked one last time but I lowered my tone as we walked into the library

" what is his name? "

" Dio, short for Diomenthese "

Such a long name!

" oh, nice name " I said trying to hide the suprise

Elaine and I walked throught the scanners and she stopped then pointed in two directions, " the Mytholigy is that way, Historical Non-fiction is that way "
