The next day, you felt a heavy wave of uncertainty wash over you as soon as you wake up. Just by the unfamiliar room you're in, you feel like this is the start of a new life for you. Nonetheless, this is all for the betterment of your future.
It would be very dangerous if you stayed within your former home since there wouldn't be anyone watching over you. After all, your mother had practically abandoned you by mysteriously disappearing on the day of your birthday.
You sit up and glance at the small digital clock on the top of the door at the end of the room, it reads 8:00am which usually is the time to get ready for school. So you moved the blanket on top of you to the side and swung your legs at the edge of the bed, jumping off and stretching for a moment before rushing towards a closet.
"Oh yeah, I didn't pack my clothing right before going here.." you mumble to yourself while leaning against the white-painted closet doors. However, you still opened the closet and were pleasantly surprised to see it filled with different kinds of clothing. "Weird, they are all my size.."
Luckily, the school you're going to is rather lenient with dress codes. The council believes that everyone has the right to dress however they want, as long as it's appropriate for school.
You take a yellow colored sweater and a pair of pants as your choice of clothing for the day. You can't go wrong with wearing a cozy sweater in school since the weather is fluctuating as of the moment. One moment it's all bright and sunny and the next thing you know, it suddenly starts to rain.
"I left my worksheets in my locker, but my notebooks are at my old house. I better drop by after classes to take all my needed items before going here."
Right before you finish dressing up and adjusting your clothing, you immediately head towards the door. Upon opening it, you were rather surprised to see Diluc standing by the doorway and it seems like he was about to knock on the door himself.
