Lee Lim tells the tale or myth of the flute where it begins.
"...King Sinmun received a bamboo flute from the Dragon King of the East Sea. When the flute is played, enemies would retreat, diseases would be cured, rain would fall during droughts, the rainy season would end, the wind would stop, and strong waves would subside."
He tells that his time passed by slowly, he hardly aged since the winter of 1994. Because he finally got his hand on the Manpasikjeok. He took it from his half-brother who had it, but did not believe in it.
He thinks that his naive half-brother who became the King just because he was born the legitimate son, did not do anything when he had the world in his hands. Unlike him. So, He took the four-tiger sword from King's room and went to kill his half-brother, The King.
His half-brother, the King warns him on seeing the sword he is holding, to put it down and says that it is a treason.
Lee Lim tells him that he picked up this sword to gain something even bigger. And tells that he plans to become the very being who gives punishment from the skies, when the King asks him "Do you not fear the punishment of the skies?" He killed his half-brother/The King and took the flute, Manpasikjeok.

Lee Gon who accidentally showed up there because he heard Manpasikjeok cried loudly. On seeing his father lying down, he ran to wake his dad, cried hard on seeing the blood. He tried to stop the blood with his little hands, which he couldn't and he dragged the sword on the ground and raised it to strike his uncle. All he knew was his father was killed in an act of treason and his uncle was the murderer.
When Lee Lim scoffed at his act and asked him "Will you hurt me with this?"
Young Lee Gon replied, "I will try."
He brought the sword down and it sliced the flute in half as Lee Lim was using it to defend himself from young Lee Gon's attack.

Lee Gon then ordered the guards to arrest the traitor, Lee Lim and deprived his royal status and sentenced him to the maximum penalty.
Lee Lim on listening to his nephew's order, he said "You sound like the crown prince for the first time in your life."
