Lee Gon kept calling Tae-Eul.. telling her things he discovered in her world, those foods he would like to try with her.. when he is learning about her world, Republic of Korea. Through his actions, he tries to know her more and remind her about him. But She was annoyed by his actions.. she just hang up his call without saying anything.
When Maximus doesn't eat the carrot she bought, she calls Eun-sup to know whereabouts of LG. She then meets him in library where he is reading calmly. He was engrossed in reading book, he looked up only when she sat in-front of him. He smiled at her and she noticed that all the tables around him were women staringat him and heard whispering. And then she saw the bottles on his table.. Lee Gon starting conversation "The people here are very kind, they kept giving me things like this. And I discovered something important! In this world, this country has a presidential system" holding up a magazine. She said "Well done" and walked off.

When he inspects food while she is eating, she asks him-
"Why aren't you eating?"
"I don't eat food that wasn't tasted beforehand. It could be poisoned anytime."
"Is that so? Then how have you been eating the food here?"
"Eun-sup did it for me."
"So, are you saying that I should taste your food?"
"No. If this food is poisoned and I'm dying here, what I'm going to tell you now will be my last words."
"Shoot!"
"Thank you for everything. Because you existed somewhere, I was less lonely for the past 25 years."
TE was speechless. She was wondering.. The mere thought that she lived somewhere was enough for him, so he wasn't alone. Again more curiosity to know him. She then asks him what he was doing. When he talks about how their worlds are different.. she thinks he is blabbering.. Writing some novel. LG was thinking why she can't believe him.. When he thinks that the reason for his survival on that night and the answer lies with her. He has been seeing her ID card on a daily basis thinking and waiting for the day when he could see her to come. But when it happened, she is not believing him. He felt bad that he was the one who waited for 25 years and he asked her-
"Why do you never believe anything I say?"
"Is that how belief works? Am I supposed to believe nonsense just like that? I'm the type of person who still can't believe the world is round. But a parallel universe? Pre-meal bakery?" She wants to believe, but what he is saying doesn't have proof in her world. It's beyond her logic.
"If you don't believe me, why do you help me? Is this some kind of a sense of duty?"
"You need that only when you have to save the country."
