Song Recommendation - Two Face - Jake Daniels
The wooden bowl was full of steaming mushroom stew as it was left outside of an iron door. Four silent knocks echoed throughout the room, as (Your Name) swiftly turned on their heels, in order to get to their laboratory.
"Lately I've been talking with a ghost
He tells me all the places I should go
He makes me paint my face so that I know
That I'm not the only the person in my soul~"
Opening the metal double doors, they were met with air that had been laced with dust, causing the deity to let out a few coughs. Flicking the switch close to the door, the lanterns came on, illuminating the room in a pale blue light. Everything inside was exactly the same as they had remembered. Running a finger over the brewing stand, they grimaced, a thick layer of dust coated their finger. Well, it was almost the same as before...
It fortunately hadn't taken too long for the potions protege to clean up their work station, and the movement helped keep them warm, as there were no materials left for making a fire.
Rummaging throughout the large double chest full of materials, (Your Name) decided to take inventory. Mumbling to themselves, they wrote down on a spare piece of parchment and quill that had remained in the chest for quite some time, as it was a bit worn down.
"Brown mushrooms, pufferfish, tulips, oxeye daisies, and poppies," the deity muttered to themselves.
Closing the chest gently, (Your Name) grasped the parchment in their left hand, stuffing it into their cloak before heading out and into the halls. Reaching the armory, the young protege made sure to grab the items that they would need.
Muttering a small incantation underneath their breath, they made their way out of the armory, stopping shortly at the iron door. The once steaming bowl of mushroom stew was gone, leaving only the wooden bowl that had been chipped and broken in some places. Sighing to themselves, (Your Name) decided to clean it when they had come back later.
"Two face call me Harvey
Never know when it could change
Tried to talk to my reflection but he said he wants my name~"
Exiting through the same water proof hatch from before, the potions protege clutched onto the satchel and made sure that their sword was securely strapped to their back. When they reached the surface, they quickly swam over to the forest, knowing that there wasn't going to be too much daylight. While (Your Name) would have preferred to go out at night, they didn't feel like fighting off monsters just to get some vegetation.
Standing in the shallow water, they made their way onto the sandy shore, the clothes remained dry as if they never had been in the water in a first place. A trident rested in their (Dominant Hand) as they made their way to a clearing close by.
Picking up oxeye daisies, and a few pink and orange tulips, they grabbed the parchment they had taken and crossed out oxeye daisies and tulips. Unfortunately for (Your Name), there were no poppies nor brown mushrooms, which meant that they had to go into the spruce forest nearby. Grumbling to themselves quietly, the potions protege dropped some bonemeal to fertilize the land, so that the flowers would continue to grow.
Trudging over to the forest, (Your Name) had begun to hum a light tune that Niki used to sing to them when they were younger. They had first heard it when Niki was teaching them to bake back when they were only thirteen years old, Niki being seventeen at the time. That day was full of laughs and mischief, as the young deity threw handfuls of flour at Foolish when he had snuck into the kitchen to steal a couple cookies while Niki had her hands full, quite literally as she kneaded dough for bread.
