Scarlett -------------------->
(Rebecca’s POV)
I had one more poster to put on and I was finished with what I was assigned to do. Happily, I got the tape and scissors and began cutting little pieces. As I was about to put the poster onto the wall I heard a lot of guys shouting ‘Go Panthers’ and ‘Panthers on three’ which made me drop everything I had.
“Oh my gosh!” I hissed to myself.
The guys were already here!
Desperately, I searched left and right for an exit door but failed to find one. So I decided to just run down the hallway of the locker room and ended up finding a door that read ‘uniforms’. I checked the doorknob to see if it was unlocked and thankfully it was!
Quietly I walked in and looked around. I noticed baseball, soccer, basketball, track, and other sport uniforms hanging on the walls. There was also boxes tossed around everywhere with helmets, socks, balls, anything you could possibly think of sport related. Thank goodness, for the huge mess there was here because I could find a hiding place instantly!
As I looked around for the best hiding place, I heard giggles.
I frowned.
I was pretty sure it was Scarlett and Loraine.
“You girls can come out now.” I said annoyingly in a playful way, standing in the middle of the room with my arms crossed.
I notice both Loraine and Scarlett come out from in between some uniforms with grins plastered in their faces. What was so funny?
“Why are you guys smiling?” I asked curiously.
Scarlett answered. “Because we’re all so alike we came to this room to hide.”
Loraine nodded in agreement.
I was kind of disappointed in them. If they knew the guys were in the locker room, why didn’t they bother to look for me so we could all hide? Still, I wasn’t going to make a big deal out of it and tell them. I figured they didn’t think about anyone but themselves when they heard the football players come in. I mean, I panicked as well and didn’t even once think about the girls.
“So how do we get out of here without being caught?” I questioned, as I took a seat on the floor and Loraine and Scarlett followed.
Loraine shrugged. “I don’t know. I’ve only been in this place twice to know if there’s an exit somewhere…”
Scarlett sighed loudly. “We have to get out of here soon. Cindy and Ms. Brooks will be looking for us to ask how we did on the posters and what not.”
Damn.
We would be in trouble if we didn’t report back to Ms. Brooks. Every day after practice before going home we have to notify our coach that we’re leaving or else she gets mad.
“We’re screwed.” Loraine muttered.
I shook my head. “If we were really screwed the guys would be finding us here.”
Suddenly we heard voices outside of the room and saw the doorknob getting twisted.
“Okay…now we’re screwed.” I whispered as we all stood up quickly and looked for a place to hide.
Loraine went straight to the tennis uniform to hide in between, Scarlett went towards the basketball, and stupid I hid in back of a tall box on a corner.
I heard the door open then and secretly peeked from where I was hiding to see who had just come in.
I saw Logan, Jared, Liam, James, and three other football players I didn’t recognized which I guessed were freshmen.
