(Loraine's POV)
"Hello ladies, I've been expecting you." We heard a woman's deep voice as soon as we walked inside the tent.
Scarlett smirked. "As if she actually knew we were coming."
I elbowed her. "Shut up."
"Ouch," she whined. "You're so bony!"
I rolled my eyes.
I hated when she was rude and nobody actually gave her a reason to act that way.
"Umm...do you have like a lamp or something?" asked Rebecca who was holding onto my right arm tightly.
Unfortunately for her, she was afraid of the dark thanks to her step-brother Jared and my twin brother Logan. Gosh, how I hated those assholes. They actually had the guts to lock her up alone in the basement and turn off all the lights after she had finish watching the movie 'IT'. Did I mention there was a thunderstorm that night? Yeah, poor her, she couldn't find a flashlight or the switch to turn the lights back on.
"Why of course I do." The gypsy chuckled sounding somewhat evil.
Suddenly, two candles were turned on up. Hmm...I wonder if they're scented?
While my eyes adjusted to our surrounding, I noticed a medium-sized wooden table across from us with three chairs. It was almost as if indeed the women had expected us. I could also see a dark shadow across the table which I was assuming it was the gypsy but I couldn't see her face. It was still too dark.
"Please," she said. "Take a seat."
Scarlett, Rebecca, and I looked at each other somewhat scared and did as we were told. I took the middle chair, Scarlett took the left one, and Rebecca took the right one. Once we were all seated, I got a better view of the gypsy. She had curly hair but I couldn't point out if it was black or dark brown because it was still too dark for me to see. I also noticed her skin color was a pretty caramel, and had big, almond emerald eyes with long, dark eyelashes. She was breathtakingly beautiful, and I couldn't help but stare.
"My name is Gypsy Barbara," She smiled, making me notice her pink-heart shape lips. "And I'm delighted to finally meet you girls."
Finally?
"We're as delighted as you are!" I said with much enthusiasm.
I heard Scarlett smirk and fortunately for her, I was sitting next to her and stepped on her foot. It was a sign from me telling her to be quiet.
Can't she take this serious as I do?
"Nice to hear that," Barbara commented. "So what brings you girls here today?"
I opened my mouth to respond but Scarlett beat me to it.
"You should know," She said harshly. "I mean you are a gypsy, aren't you?"
Barbara scowled.
Note to self: After we get out of here, make sure to kick Scarlett's ass!
I cleared my throat.
"Please excuse my dear friend's behavior," I said while patting; well more like hitting Scarlett on the back.
"Let's just say today hasn't been a very sunny day for her," Rebecca lied smoothly.
This is why I love Rebecca. She always backs me up, unlike Lionhead over here.
"It's okay," Barbara spat dryly. "I'll let it slide." Uh. Oh. She's definitely mad. "So what would you girls like to know?"
