Rebecca's Picture above!
(Rebecca's POV)
When I woke up today never in a million years did I imagine sitting in the cafeteria with a big group of people which consisted of Loraine and Scarlett –who always sit with me, – Jozyah, Dawn and her gang, my idiot brother Jared and his idiot sidekick Logan; now this is where it truly gets weird... The three wicked witches Melora, Audrey, and Nicole, James –Loraine's unfortunately failed, tragic date, – and Liam were all sitting with us!
We were all sitting in the middle of the cafeteria and Logan and Liam had attached a rectangular table for all of us to fit.
Everybody around were gawking at us like chimpanzees do when they see people at a zoo, heck even the principle and teachers who usually stuck around and ate with the students were eyeing us intensely...probably afraid that at any moment anybody in the table would snap and break out a fight in the middle of the cafeteria.
The tension was as thick as fog, that I was almost sure that even the cafeteria ladies who were serving the food to the students a couple of feet away from us could see it.
Now before I get ahead of myself and explain how this whole "sitting arrangement" –if you could even call it that, – came to be, why don't I start from the beginning? The beginning where it was normal and not a warped universe where nightmares actually came true...
It was the middle of autumn and I was sweating bullets! Sweat was trickling down my face, my neck, my back, and other places I didn't think I could sweat from... It almost felt like I had dipped myself into a pool.
"Oh my gosh." Getting up from my bed I put on my pink, fluffy slippers Loraine had given me for my fourteenth birthday and walked to my restroom.
"I need to take a shower asap."
Since last night I had been rehearsing of how I was going to ask Liam to Homecoming. Girls had asked him out like paparazzi's asked celebrities questions left and right! Yet he still had turned down everyone.
He almost seemed liked the Kanye West of our school and everybody was hoping to be his Kim.
Today either I was going to become another girl he turned down or the lucky one who would be dancing with him "Under The Sea" –that was our Homecoming dance theme.
"So you're really gonna ask him to homecoming?" Loraine for the millionth time asked me while walking in the school hallway since we had a few minutes to spare before the bell rang.
