Audrey's Picture is above!
(Rebecca's POV)
Friday morning I woke up feeling my head pounding hard, almost as if I was slamming it on hard metal.
Gently I rubbed both temples and sat up on my bed.
I looked at the time from my cellphone and saw that it was six in the morning. School didn't start in two hours and I had woken up too early for my well-being.
"Ugh." I groaned, standing up from my bed to head to the restroom.
After getting out I checked on Tylo who was sleeping peacefully in the basket that Logan had bought for him. Thinking of Tylo and Logan made me realize that today we were going to the zoo.
Although the trip to the zoo sounded fun, it wasn't going to be so much fun spending it with Logan. He and I just have a hard time getting along; it would be astonishing if we made it through the first five minutes in the zoo without arguing.
I was definitely going to have to text him and tell him that I was going to be able to the zoo today because I wasn't feeling good.
Since I wasn't going to be falling asleep anytime soon, I decided to go downstairs and make some breakfast. Before entering the kitchen though, I heard my mom and dad having some sort of argument.
"It's really hard for me to not think that you're doing something behind my back when you spend all day at work even when you get out early, Robert." My mom snapped at my dad.
I frowned and tiptoed closer towards where the kitchen was without them seeing me.
My dad was a lawyer and it was rare when he came home early. He worked from seven in the morning to three in the afternoon, yet he always arrived home at ten or eleven at night. So it was no surprise to see my mom calling him out on him never being at home early.
"Susan, for the last time I told you that I've been working on a really big case that requires for me to do a lot of research. I can't do the research here because there's just too much noise for me to be able to concentrate." He responded frustratingly.
"Oh, so you're saying the kids and I are an annoyance?" Mom retorted back. "Well I'm sorry you feel that way!"
I bit my lip.
I rarely saw my parents argue because they were either too good at hiding when they had some sort of disagreement, or because I barely saw them together.
If I had to choose who was right in this argument it would have to be my mother. My parents barely spend time with each other and I knew my mother did not like that. My mom loved my dad and it just hurt me to see that she doubted their relationship now because my dad was kind of avoiding her and us...his kids.
