Chapter 7

Jan's POV

Nauna nang maglakad si Dana.

One difference between female and male matchmakers is their anger's aftershocks.

When a male matchmaker gets mad, mamamatay ang huling pinana nito.

Kapag ang babaeng matchmaker naman nagalit she has the power to manipulate and choose their enemy's lover.

And most of the time pinipili nito ang taong sa tingin nya ay sisira sa buhay ng kaaway nya.

Ang kailangan nya lang gawin is to shout their chosen match for their enemy out of hatred which could lead their enemy to live a miserable life forever with the chosen one.

That's why some people always choose to stay with the wrong people.

At yan ang nangyayari ngayon kina Madie at Jaydee.

But in Jaydee's case it's different kasi she's not under Dana's curse. The reason is because Jaydee's heart is too pure at sa tingin ko gusto na talaga ni Jaydee si Madie simula palang and Dana unknowingly gave Jaydee the opportunity to be loved back by Madie.

Di nga lang totoo.

Wait, if I'm not mistaken--oh no.

"Dana, wait--" habol ko kay Dana.

"What?."

"Are you sure si Madie lang ang pinana mo?."

"Oo. Sinabi ko na nga diba?. Tsk."

"Then bakit may arrow din si Jaydee?."

"What are you talking about?."

"I saw it. There's an arrow stuck on her back."

"What? That's impossible. I already casted the curse on Madie and sworn Jaydee's name which means di ko na kailangang--OH MY JELLYFISH. May ibang pumana sa kanya. No no no. This can't be happening. We got to pull that arrow as soon as possible."

"We?. Oh no honey, I'm out of this."

"Fine. I'll do it my--wait a minute, tsk you almost got me there. I can't just pull the arrow out because that means she'll stop loving--no, that's right. Jan, you're a genius!. Of course!. The only way to break Madie's heart is to make Jaydee unlove her. Why didn't I think of that? haaayst. But in Jaydee's case, the only way to unlove Madie is to love another. Kung sinong matchmaker man out there ang may gawa nun, thank you.." now I just made everything worse.

"Oh no, here we go again."

Ang tanong is sino yung isang match ni Jaydee?.

Frances' POV

What is this feeling?. Bakit kay Jaydee lang?. Why do I feel uneasy every time she's with Madie?.

It's not something that I should feel uncomfortable of, right?. But why?.

This makes no actual sense because if it does, the least thing that I would call this is LOVE.

Bumalik nako sa unit namin para maghugas gaya ng ibinilin ni Jaydee,  after nun ay nag-ayos nako at nagproceed na sa susunod kong activity which is wood carving.

The easiest one to carve so far is a heart but unfortunately it broke right in the middle. I guess this is not my lucky day at all.

I wonder what Jaydee's doing right now.

Jaydee's POV

I'm enjoying cooking with Madie. Mabuti nalang talaga naisipan niyang makipagpalit kay Frances, kasi kung hindi I wouldn't be this happy. 

We tried cooking some edible leaves we saw here in the forest. Saka building fire for cooking is kinda fun too although we're already trained to do this the previews years. I guess any activity with Madie feels like it's the very first time. 

Kasama din pala namin sa activity nato sina Amy and Laney. Weird pero minsan napapansin kong nakatingin lang sila samin ni Madie. Hmm.

Not in an offensive way naman, more like a look full of doubts. Malamang pinagdududahan na nila kami about our real relationship but I don't care at all if they judge me. Si Madie lang talaga ang inaalala ko.

Naglaro ako ng volleyball and Madie was there to cheer me. Mabuti nalang wala na syang activity sa mga oras na yun, napadaan din pala si Frances pero umalis din agad once nagtama ang aming mga paningin. Hmm she looked bothered. Anyway, our team won that time. 

6-8pm bonfire rehearsals na. No big deal, it's just some dance with basic moves so everyone could keep up. Katabi ko sa harap si Frances and Madie, I'm literally standing between them pero napapansin ko na parang iniiwasan ako ni Frances.

Para kasing she's a little less interested na na kausapin ako, like she used to. Of course, Frances will always be Frances.

After dinner. Pumunta ako sa favorite spot ko with my guitar. Pagod na si Madie so I went alone. Kumanta lang ako ng kumanta.

Frances' POV

Hindi ko alam na andito pala si Jaydee, gusto ko sanang pumunta dito para lang mapag-isa but then I saw her here, singing.

I never thought she had such a lovely voice. I just stood for a couple of seconds watching her sing her heart out. She had no idea that I'm standing behind her. 

There was love all around

Nang matapos sya ay pumalakpak nalang ako. 

"Wow, you're amazing."

Napalingon nalang siya na medyo may halong gulat. 

"Y-you're here. A-and you heard me sing." She said, a little bit surprised na medyo nahihiya pa.

"I guess I did--heard an angel sing. Thanks for proving they're real." Oh my, is she blushing?. 

"Binola pako haha. What are you doing here?. Anong oras na."

"I was going to ask you the same thing. Well, gusto ko lang sanang mapag-isa but I'm glad that you're here. Tapos may free concert pa."

SILENCE.

"Uhm, we're okay right?." Tanong niya.

"Y-yeah. Of course. Why wouldn't we?." Upo ko sa tabi nya as I force a smile.

"I-I mean you seemed a little off kanina, I thought I did something wrong."

"Marami lang iniisip. Hey, don't worry. You did nothing wrong. Maybe I'm just a little--"

"A little what?."

"Confused."
