Chapter 18

Madie's POV

"What do you mean it's not a--oh hmm. Cool."

"Cool?."

"I mean you like girls, no big deal."

"Not girls in general Kuya, just this girl."

"Okay. Sino ba? Si Nice? Si Dana--"

"Si Jaydee." Malungkot kong sagot. Sinasabi ko palang ang pangalan nya nasasaktan nako.

"As in Jennifer Nandy?."

"Kuyaaaa.." Iyak ko lang sabay yakap sa kanya.

"Ano ba kasing nangyari?." As he rubbed my back.

At ayun, kinuwento ko nga sa kanya lahat.

KINABUKASAN

Maaga akong pumasok sa school. Nakita ko silang dalawa, masayang nag-uusap habang naglalakad sa hallway. Lumihis nalang ako ng tingin.

Eros' POV

Andito ngayon ako sa underground headquarters kung saan andito ang majority sa mga matchmakers. I'm here para makita ang report ukol sakin. Hiningi ko rin ang files ni Dana.

Sa files ko nakasaad doon na pinana si Frances at Jaydee. Nalaman ko rin na pareho ang issue sa match na to dun sa pagkakamali ko nun sa pagpana kay Jem while she's still in love with Dana because Jaydee is currently in love with Madie. But Madie is not really in love with her, she's just cursed by Dana because Dana believes that Jaydee is the perfect match mistake. Ang gulo, ang gulo gulo.

So basically, Jaydee was in love with Madie but because of Amy's mistake Jaydee accidentally fell for Frances. And Frances loves her back because she's also under a spell. So without the spell and curse it would be just Jaydee in love with Madie, a one sided love and Frances wouldn't be in the picture. Jaydee and Frances will be just strangers or could be pure acquaintances.

Kapag tinanggal ang sumpa, ang mangayayari is that Jaydee will get over Frances and Madie, and she will never ever fall in love with them ever again. Kaya malaking risk talaga yun unless something really unexpected happens, something that's outside the rule book.

Dumiretso nako sa prisinto pagkatapos to meet Psyche. Sobrang excited ko na talaga na lumabas sya. Napapansin ko these past few days na natututo narin syang mag-ayos.

Frances' POV

"..as I was saying, next next week is gonna be our foundation week. At syempre for the final night we have our Mr. and Ms. AICHS. So today we'll have nomination for Mr. and Ms. AICHS. Let's start with the Mister, our nomination is now open." Sabi ni Miss Angel.

At nagtaasan nga sila ng mga kamay haaayst. I wonder what Jaydee's doing right now.

Si Ate Madie ang nanalo last year kaya ibig sabihin sya ang papasa sa korona. Madalas mababa ang tingin ko sa mga tao but di pagdating kay Ate Madie kasi I look up to her. Iniidolo ko siya since 7th Grade, kaya nga sumali ako dun sa protest na sinimulan nya against the Pride Parade but hindi pagdating sa pagiging boy collector nya. I love the way she dress and carry herself.

Nagtaas ako ng kamay for Prince at sya nga ang nanalo.

FLASHBACK

".. I repeat, If you could be anyone else besides yourself who would you be?."

"I believe I'd like to be Eve." Sagot ni Ate Madie.

SILENCE.

"E-eve? As in Eve in the beginning?."

"Yes sir."

"W-why?." Tanong nya tila pinipigilan lang matawa.

"Because my parents raised me to be disciplined and if ever I'd be given a chance to travel back in time and be Eve, I would have the perfect amount of self control needed to ignore that stupid fruit and preserve paradise. By that I could prevent all the world problems from happening and men won't have the chance to blame women for having a miserable life. And I thank you." Mic drop.

Hindi ako sure kung matatawa ako o ano pero that's a really witty answer. Napalakpak nalang kaming lahat. And yeah, that's her winning answer.

"Miss Pinlac." Di ko namalayan na kanina pa pala akong tinatawag ni Miss Angel.

"P-po?." Tayo ko.

"Congratulations."

"H-huh?."

"You have been chosen to be the class representative for the pageant."

"What?!."

Recess.

"Papatayin ko talaga kayong dalawa. I can't believe you just nominated me." Sabi ko kay Coleen at Klaire.

"Nag-agree naman silang lahat ah. Saka kayang kaya mo naman yun." Sabi ni Klaire. Sa wakas Jaydee's here.

"Sorry, I'm late. What did I miss?." Tabi ni Jaydee sakin.

"Frances is the chosen one. She's one of the Mr. and Ms. AICHS candidates." Sabi ni Coleen.

"R-really?. What a coincidence--"

"What do you mean?."

"I'm also the chosen one. Pero don't worry, pwede naman akong magback out kung--"

"What? No. Don't do that. Sumali ka. Saka I think mas masaya yun pag andun ka." Sabi ko.

"Sigurado ka?. Kasi parang--"

"Okay lang kasi."

"Wow, Ate Jen VS Frances kaabang-abang. Ikaw manok ko Ate." Sabi ni Klaire.

"Oh edi kay Frances nalang ako. Basta girl ah, ako magmemake up sayo." Sabi ni Coleen.

"Sure. Basta siguraduhin mo libre yan ah."

"Tsk napakakuripot mo talaga kahit kailan." Irap ni Coleen.

Madie's POV

"I heard Frances is representing Grade 11." Sabi ni Dana.

"Really?. So magkakalaban pala sila ni Jaydee?." Sabi ni Nice.

"Exactly. Isn't that exciting?. Madie, what do you think?." Sabi ni Dana.

"Y-yeah. Exciting indeed hehe." Sa totoo lang sad dahil ibig sabihin mas madalas na silang magkakasama ni Jaydee dahil sa rehearsals. Hulog na hulog sa kanya si Jaydee universe, masyado mo nang pinapaboran si Frances. Pwedeng ako naman?.
