DIEGO'S POV.

It's Father's Day.

So even though it's Tuesday Marissa's gonna let me take him for the day.

We haven't talked much.

I don't really know where our relationship and shit is at either.

I haven't gotten my own place yet since I told her that's what I was gonna do.

She made me feel bad and realize she's kind of right.

If I don't know exactly where our relationship is at I shouldn't take that step in getting my own home.

There ain't nothing more I want than to be with that female.

Every time I'm away from her I'm fuckin' miserable without her.

There's NO other female I'd wanna spend the rest of my life with.

But the bullshit between us has to stop.

I want her to cut her shit and she wants me to cut my shit.

I mean I ain't gonna lie I've done some fucked up shit and put her through a lot of fucked up situations.

But I'm not usually one to swallow my pride.

That's my problem.

I just got out of the shower so I change into a blue and white colored long sleeve flannel, black jeans, all white Jordan's, and a blue LA dodgers hat.

I spray some cologne, grab my wallet, car keys and phone and go outside to my car.

When I get to the house I walk up to the door and go in.

I see Marissa sitting on the couch with Alex asleep on her lap and his head laying on her shoulder.

"Oh hi" she says quietly.

"He's asleep?" I ask her as I sit on the other couch.

"Yeah, he was up all night, he just wasn't tired he just wanted to play and watch the movie Cars" she says rubbing his head.

"Damn, then I guess I'll just take him to the pad and wait until he wakes up" I tell her.

"Oh" she says standing up still holding Alex.

She walks over to a table in the corner.

I just stare at her ass the whole time.

She gets a small white box with a black bow on it and hands it to me.

"Here" she says with a small smile.

"What's this?".

"Open it" she says still standing in front of me.

I open the box and it's this all black Michael Kors watch I've been meaning to get.

"Damn, Marissa you didn't have to get me this" I tell her shaking my head.

"Yeah I did" she says quietly.

"Look, whatever shit we have going on between us, doesn't change what kind of dad you are to Alex, you've been an amazing dad to Alexander since the day you met him" she tells me with a small laugh at the end.

"I'm really thankful for that" she adds.

I nod and look at the watch.

I take it out of the box and put it on.

Look pretty fuckin' clean.

"Thank you" I tell her as I stand up and hug her.

We awkwardly hug for a second then pull apart.
