Ch.71 Re-living

MARISSA'S POV.

I'm gonna go to my moms house today.

Me, Saul, and Daisy are gonna go out to dinner.

I already got Alex ready and put him down for his nap so I'm gonna get ready.

I curl my hair and do my makeup.

Then I put on a tight white tank top, a red blue and white colored half sleeve flannel, black leggings, and black thong strapped sandals.

When I'm done I put my purse onto my shoulder and go into Alex's room.

He's still sleeping so I just pick him up and carry him out to the car and put him in his car seat and drive to my moms house.

On the way there Alex wakes up and starts talking to himself.

I take him out the car and stand him on the floor and hold his hand as we walk up to the front door.

We go inside and I see my mom drinking some beers with one of her friends.

"Hey mija" she says. "Hi mom where's Saul and Daisy?" I ask.

"Oh in his room" she says putting her beer bottle down.

"Come here papa!" She says to Alex and he runs to her.

I go down the hall to Saul's room and the doors already open.

"Hey you guys ready?" I ask them as Saul sprays some cologne.

"Yeah, but she ain't" Saul says. "You're not going??" I ask Daisy.

"Well I was going to, but I was wondering if I could stay here and, maybe watch Alex? I've never really been around baby's and I want to like practice you know?" She asks.

I smile.

"Uh okay sure! But are you sure?" I ask her.

"Yes I'm sure" she says confidently.

"Okay then, he's in the living room with my mom" I tell anything.

"Oh alright, is there anything I should know though??" She asks.

"Well he just woke up from a nap so he's gonna wanna play, um, he hasn't ate either so you need to feed him I brought his sippy cup, and, that's pretty much it" I explain.

"Okay then" she says with a nod.

So me and Saul leave and go to the restaurant.

"Has Daisy started to plan the baby shower?" I ask him as we eat our food.

"Yeah her and her mom have but I don't know anything about that" he says with a shrug.

"Are you nervous? Sariah's gonna be here in a couple months" I ask.

"Yeah but I'm excited too, it's crazy that I'm gonna be a REAL dad you know?" He says.

I smile and nod.

"How's shit been with the gang? Business and all that?" I ask.

"It's been, alright, all of shit with 18th Street has been going on, especially after that shit with the homeboy Oscar" he says.

"What about Oscar?? I mean isn't he out of the gang??" I ask him.

"Yeah but, he Backstabbed us again and he's in 18 now, looking for payback, shits just going back and forth" he tells me.

We continue to eat and then walk out to the parking lot and get in my car.

"Aye let's go to the liquor store really quick I'm tryna buy a pack" he says.
