"I can't believe she's on ravenclaws quidditch team I mean she probably isn't even that good" Ron said, yet again complaining about Aspen "Ron, mate, would you shut up about Aspen I'm sick of hearing you complain about her every 5 minutes" Harry huffed while they were on their way to potions "Honestly Ron, it's obvious you like her" Hermione said. "Bloody hell how many times do I have to tell you I don't like her" Ron said rolling his eyes. "Ok mate just stop complaining about her" Harry said and Hermione nodded in agreement while giving Ron a look.
But love sometimes has a funny way of expressing itself in people.

"I'm going to skip herbology guys" Aspen said "why, is everything ok" Luna asked "just feeling a bit sick, I think I'll go to my dorm" Aspen said. Ginny seemed to believe her but Luna had been friends with her for long enough and Aspen knew she could see right through her, but she knew Luna wouldn't say anything about it. "Ok, are the sure you don't want to go to the hospital wing or anything" Ginny asked "No it's ok" Aspen said, smiling slightly.
After Ginny and Luna left Aspen to go to herbology, Aspen went to the black lake, one of her favourite spots at Hogwarts just to relax and think about things. She liked to sit with her back up against on one of the trees and just think about everything going on. Most of the time she came here when she had family problems, but this time was different. She was here for reasons unknown to even her, but she just knew she had a lot going through her mind the past few days. Aspen would have preferred it to be night; the moon shining over the lake. She liked the moon and the night and would have picked it over the sun and the day any time.
But right now she would have to make do with what she had.
Aspen was thinking about her fathers letter, but it wasn't the only thing going on in her mind. Aspen was thinking of her defence against the dark arts professor, Remus Lupin, and what he had said to her; about thinking he knew her and had seen her before, about what he had said about Sirius Black being innocent, and she couldn't help but think her professors hunches were right. But that wasn't it, she had something else going on in the back of her mind.
'It' he had called her, and Aspen couldn't help but feel it hurt her a bit, to be referred to as such. Normally, she wouldn't care about people treating her like this, but there's something about him that got to her like that. But she pushed that thought away as quick as it came.

Aspen was just sitting by the tree, watching the water, when a large black dog walked out of the forest. She had never seen the dog before and was staring at it and before she knew it the dog was sitting beside her. "Hi. I've never seen you before. Im Aspen. Your look very skinny , lets see if i have any food in my bag" Aspen said and started looking through her bag. She found a packet of crisps and a sandwich she was going to eat if she got hungry but the dog needed it more "here you go, its all i have" Aspen said. As soon as the dog saw it he scoffed it down. He probably hadn't eaten in day. "Im going to name you...emm...snuffles, yeah snuffles" Aspen said and the dog look up at her with happiness in his eyes.
"I skipped today, classes i mean. I have a lot going on right now. For one my Professor said something to me that i can't help but always think about. Remus lupin he's called, he said he feels like he knows me from somewhere, and i feel like i know him too" Aspen said to the dog, glad to talk to someone about it, even if snuffles couldn't say anything back "He also said something that is itching at me and to be honest i feel like what he thinks is true. He said that he knew this so called mass murderer, Sirius Black" Snuffles ears perked up at this.
"well, he said that he didn't think Sirius would have ever did that to his best friends and that it's actually someone else that framed him for the murders of the muggles and giving away lily and james' place they were hiding." Aspen said "it sounds very unlikely that Sirius would have done that, and that it was their other friend, Peter. Remus said they were all animagus so it would make sense that no one found anything except Pettigrews finger, because he turned into his animagus form and ran away. I believe that story way more than the story everyone else believes." Aspen finished, feeling happy to get all of this off her chest. She looked at snuffles and he was giving her a funny look "you probably didn't understand any of that" Aspen said, letting out a laugh. But the dog shook his head and got a stick, writing something in the mud near were Aspen sat.

It said sirius, and an arrow pointing towards the dog. Then it hit her.
"You're...Sirius Black" Aspen said slowly. It all made sense. He was an animagus, his nickname name was Padfoot and he was a dog. This dog was Sirus.
The dog- or Sirius nodded its head and nudged its head towards the forest. He wanted her to go into the forbidden forest. Hes a murderer a part of Aspens brain thought, but she followed him into the forest never the less. If he wanted to kill her he would have done it already she thought, but had her wand in her hand just incase. They got to a spot farely deep into the woods. The dog sat down and then transformed into a person. A very ragged looking Sirius Black. Aspen looked at her with her mouth in an o shop "don't worry, your suspicions were correct, i am in fact not a mass murderer, stupid Pettigrew framed me" Sirius said "so you aren't going to... you know... kill me" Aspen said slightly insure "no of course not. I knew old moony would have faith in me" Sirius said and let a bark like laugh "So your name is Aspen, whats you surname" Sirius said. "Malfoy. Aspen Malfoy" Aspen said, more comfortable around him now. Sirius' jaw clenched and his eyes narrowed slightly, but he said nothing and just nodded his head. Aspen hoped he didn't think she was like her father.
"so that means we're like... related" Aspen said. "Yes, we are" Sirius said "well i can bring you food everyday from the great hall, you probably don't get much food when your on the run" Aspen said with a half smile "oh, that would be great thanks, the sandwich you gave me was the first proper food I've had in almost a month" Sirius said. Aspen was shocked at this.
" oh shit i have to get to my next class, I've already skipped 2 today, I'm sorry" Aspen "its ok, can you meet me near the whomping willow tomorrow at lunch, we could talk more if you wanted and i want to show you some as well" Sirius said "yeah of course, I'll bring some food with me as well" Aspen said and smiled at him "bye" Aspen said "by Aspen" Sirius said and smiled as she walked out of the forest.Aspen hoped she could trust him and he wasn't about to try and kill her
Sirius couldn't believe that was her. That was his daughter.
