It had been a week since you had started to ignore Malfoy. It had been really hard being the reason that he used every chance he had to call you "orphan" or "blood-traitor." He had really been getting on your last nerve but the more you heard it, the more you got used to it. Soon at one point you wouldn't even react to those words and think of them as words you heard everyday such as, "the," "a," "and," etc. You had kept ignoring him because it was fun seeing him defeated whenever you didn't care at all.

In this past week you noticed Professor Snape had grown a liking towards you. On Friday in double potions Snape had called on you to answer a question. He wanted to prove that "fame isn't everything" but was proved wrong when you had answered his answers correctly. Over the summer, after you received your letter, you studied many hours a week.

You also noticed that Professor McGonagall adored you and Hermione, being the reason that the two of you learned everything quickly and got it on the first try. But you also noticed that the Professor liked Hermione more than you being for no reason at all. You had assumed that it was because Hermione was in her own house.

You would observe Professor Quirrell closely because he seemed very suspicious to you. He always wore this weird hat thing on his head and never switched it out. You had also come across that he always stuttered whenever he spoke. Why was he like that?

And lastly, there was professors like, Flitwick and Sprout who had treated everyone equally and having no liking towards any specific student.

And now, being the second week of school, the flying class was starting. Many people were not excited because Slytherin had it with Gryffindor. But you were really excited because you would practice flying around on broomsticks with Fred and George during the summer holidays. Molly would always tell you to not because you were too young and would hurt yourself but you still proceeded with practicing to fly. You had rarely hurt yourself. You just got a little scratch from time to time. You thought of this and hoped that you would not mess up in front of everyone. You would be a complete failure and everyone would laugh at you. Hermione would make you read Quidditch Through the Ages with her. You almost died of boredom listening to her read it for hours. But you noticed Hermione was very nervous and I would never see her nervous at anything. So I think she doesn't want to make a fool out of herself either.

You, Malfoy, Grabbe, and Goyle, and other Slytherins walked to a flat lawn where there was 20 broomsticks laying in two neat lines. You didn't have this class with Daphne, Max, or Pansy so you had no one to talk to. The Gryffindors weren't here yet so you just stood close by the broomsticks nervously. You looked at the brooms to see which one you would get. Fred and George told you which brooms you should avoid and which ones you should use. And finally, the Gryffindors had arrived so you walked over to them and greeted them—mostly Hermione. The two of you started talking about the lesson and other things until Madam Hooch came towards the two houses.

"Well, what are you all waiting for?" she snapped. "Everyone stand by a broomstick. Come on, hurry up."

You hurried to the exact broomstick you wanted before someone could claim it. You luckily got it right before a student you didn't know could get it. A student that was from Gryffindor, he was tall and you had to look up at him and cast an evil smile. Haha, you thought in your mind, you were just too slow. Other students were hurrying to broomsticks as well, not wanting to have the ones that looked the most worn out.
