You had just finished your breakfast along with Sammy and Max. Pansy Parkinson and Daphne Greengrass had followed you guys being the reason that you had become friends with them after the feast last night. You and Sammy walked into your dormitory and found Pansy and Daphne talking on their beds, so you had figured that they were your roommates. You all had got to know each other and became good friends especially with Daphne.

You had transfiguration with Gryffindor for your first class of the year. As your friend group was approaching the classroom you saw Hermione waving at you. You excused yourself and went up to her.

"Hey Hermione! How are you?" You ask cheerfully.

"She's great. She's just mad you didn't get sorted into Gryffindor," Ron says coldly, joining the conversation.

"Oh shut up Ronald. I never said that." Hermione snaps.

"I bet she wanted to be in Slytherin."

"For merlin's sake, Ronald! She got into that house because her descendant was in it!" Hermione replies furiously. She then takes your arm and drags you over to a table.

"What has gotten into Ron? We were on good terms on the train and now he hates me because I got sorted into Slytherin!" You exclaim, sitting down.

"Ronald thinks all Slytherins are evil and horrible people just because that is the house all the dark wizards are in." Hermione says, still infuriated.

"Not all Slytherins are bad! He's known me since we were just babies, why does he think I'm suddenly now evil!" You yell and look over to Ron. "I'm going to talk to him after class."

During the class everyone had to write plenty of notes and then had to turn a match into a needle. You and Hermione were the only ones able to make any changes to your match, causing Professor McGonagall to give you guys a rare smile. It also caused Malfoy to be jealous. As soon as class ended you headed towards the door as fast as possible, making sure you made it out before Ron. Hermione had come out moments later walking to you, knowing what you were waiting for. And soon, as you predicted, Ron came out with Harry. You walked up to Ron quickly. "I'm so sorry Harry, but I need Ron for a second." You smile sweetly as Harry mutters "okay" and walks away. As soon as he's far away you drop your smile and turn to Ron. "Ron, you git! Why do you suddenly hate me just because I'm in Slytherin!"

Ron looks around nervously before answering slowly. "I-I just thought that Slytherins were evil."

"Evil? That is all you have to say? Just because I am in Slytherin doesn't mean I'm evil! You can't always assume things like that! What has gotten into you? I have known you for 10 years, Ronald! I've almost known you as long as you have known Ginny!" You huffed furiously. "So all those years mean nothing to you? Just one little thing? My house doesn't have to mean anything, Ronald! This is all rubbish!"

You walk away and drag Hermione with you. "y/n that was amazing!" Hermione exclaims as you smile.

Malfoy and his goons, Crabbe and Goyle, are laughing as you walk away. "Shut up!" You yelled at them.
