Chapter 4

CHAPTER 4

Carrie's POV

        I woke up with a pounding headache and and an aching stomach. I am so hungry... but thanks to Mr. I-think-it's-a-good-idea-to-throw-a-bunch-of-kids-into-an-arena, there isn't any food that we could trust... I am so glad that I read the Hunger Games and Divergent because they are currently my source for survival. I'm going to follow everything that they did in the books because it seems like a good idea.

        I'm still hungry though and the only way they got food in the Hunger Games was to hunt... and I can't hunt or have any skills in hunting. DAMMIT! I should've learned how to do that. And whoever put us in this damn dome should've at least sent us in here after the Insurgent movie came out. I wanted to watch that.

        That headache came from the arguing about how Sabrina dealt with the May situation... Katie and Annie thought it was a bit cold, but I thought she dealt with it perfectly fine...

        I looked around looking for May and making sure that she was alive and the food was safe... Where was she? She isn't in her original spot where she was sitting. Where could she be other than the apple grove? I looked around more, turning myself 360 degrees... There she was! Wait a minute... There's three strangers behind her laughing at something...there's also May and Sabrina talking to them...

        Are those the other people that could possibly kill us? Did May and Sabrina decide to betray us? DON'T THEY DARE DO THAT TO US POOR SOULS!

        I swear to god! If they f***ing betray us I will slap them... every single one of them. And they should be very scared... Then again seeing Maya alive means we can eat the apples... Maybe I'll forgive her. Maybe.

        I walked quickly toward the mini group.

        "Hey Carrie! Can you get everyone here?" Sabrina requested, "I want everyone to meet them! They're some awesome, insane friends I have!"

        "Ok..." I replied as I turned around to fulfill her request. They look too old for her to know them properly and why haven't I have never saw them at school.

        "Guys!" I yelled as loud as I can. Everyone that was still sleeping sat up in lightening speed. 

        "Why did you wake us up?" Annie asked in her childish accent.

        "Sabrina wants to intoduce you guys to some boys she knows..."

        "There's more people?" Anna perked up at this thought. I just nodded.

        "I want to meet them!" Katie shot up excitedly.

       "Ok... And why is she making us get up?" Danielle grumbled as she glared at Sabrina.

        "I think she's making sure that they won't be murdered by one of us..." Chris proposed.

        Katie then chimed in," I think those friends are important to Sabrina... Maybe we should get our lazy bums off the ground and meet them." Everyone except Danielle nodded in agreement.

        Maybe they are important to Sabrina. I can see that Sabrina's other friends, Mary and Arrianna was already by her side laughing with the new boys. Maybe those new guys aren't so bad since May even started joking with them.

        "Sabrina! Here you go... Everyone but Danielle!" I said mock excitedly.

        Sabrina grinned and started telling us who in the world these people are, " This is Tark the Shark!" She pointed to the tanned - skin, "This is Kaleb the pirate!"

        Kaleb then interrupted, "Hey! Why am I pirate? Can't I be a Octopus?"

        "No! You're a pirate because of One Piece!" Sabrina argued. Kaleb just started grumbling about how he shouldn't of told Sabrina anything about one piece...

        What is one piece anyways? And Tark the Shark sort of does look like a shark... 

        "And finally... Will the guy that likes girls...." Sabrina said blandly.

        "What? No excitement?" Will objected.

        "It's your fault for telling my bro-" Sabrina stopped mid-sentence. I understand why because she might never see her family again... I can see the tears welling up in her eyes, threatening to spill out. She then let out a shuddering breath. Will starts rubbing her back trying to soothe her.

          "It's alright..." Will started, "He was bit of an idiot... right?"

          Sabrina smiled and then wiped her eyes. Then she apologized, "I am so sorry... I'm starting to realize what's happening here but I just didn't want to see it... Sorry guys..."

        Why would she be apologizing fo something out of her control? We all lost people but I don't think anyone is ready to admit it yet to themselves that they may never see them again including myself.

        "Sabrina you shouldn't be apologizing!" Annie said genuinely. It's nice to see other people thinking the same thing.

        Will has just gained my trust... but I'm not so sure about the other two people.

        Tark the Shark and Kaleb the Pirate... Honestly, Sabrina isn't good with nicknames... and they weren't  particulary good... But I guess Tark the Shark passed my nickname test.

        The large booming voice that kidnapped us started speaking again, "I'LL BE SENDING YOU GUYS SOMETHING A LITTLE SPECIAL!"
