Chapter 11

CHAPTER 11

SABRINA'S POV

        "LET ME GO! I JUST WANTED TO GO HOME!" May yelled as I cringed at the anger and sadness that was coming from her at the same time.

        I told everyone what happened back at the cave and I got many pity looks and upset people. Danielle found it unfair that I would be dying last and May was angry and mad about how we're all going to die, especially herself. The rest were optimistic that we wouldn't kill each other and we would be able to go home.

        Alli wallked up and tried comforting May, "May, it's all right... We all want to go home..."

        May stared at her and then started yelling again," NO IT IS NOT ALL RIGHT! IT'S THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF ALL RIGHT!"

        I looked at Marian to see if she was all right with her almost death and found she was most definitely not all right. I was the one that was stabbed, but Chris quickly covered the wound with bandages he found in his bag.

        She caught me looking at her and ran up to me, "Sabrina I almost died! My life flashed right before my eyes! Before I almost died I saw a bright white light calling to me! I thought my end was really going to come!" Marian's lying...

        "Marian, stop being dramatic..."

        "I'm not being dramatic!" I raised my eyebrows. "Fine I was being dramatic but that doesn't change the fact I was going to die!"

        I held her by the shoulders and looked right into her eyes, "You're alive right now and here... and that's what matters."

        She looked back and the finally decided, "Fiiiine... You're right? I'll focus on the fact that I'm alive."

        I then turned around and added, "Plus, you were being annoying too!" 

        "It isn't as if you're not annoying at times!" Marian countered.

        I grinned, "True." 

        I turned back toward Maya and saw that she was struggling to get out of the skillfully tied rope bounds. Chris and his boy scout skills are pretty useful... Wait... WHERE'S ARI?

        "Guys?" Everyone turned toward me... "Guys? Where's Ari?"

        Marian then started freaking out, "Oh no. Oh no. Oh no! What if Ari was killed!?! By your stalker boy!"

        "He is a stalker but THAT DOESN"T MATTER!" I yelled the end, "WE NEED TO FIND ARI!"

        Then on cue, Ari walked into our base. She isn't dead... Good... good...

        "I'm all right Sabrina..." Ari said weakly. She was holding a pair of katanas and a green box. The full water bottles were hanging off her arm. Her eyes were filled with many different emotions I couldn't identify. Well, I do see anger but that was about it.

        "Ari... Are you sure you're all right?" I asked hesitantly.

        "Sabrina..." Ari was looking at my bandaged arm. Then her expression turned into an angry one, "Who Did That To Your Arm?"

        Oh god. We can't have Ari explode. When she's angry, she's like a dragon that's going to eat your head off. Attempting to diffuse the situation I quickly lied, "I tripped and accidentally stabbed myself with my knife..." Ari looked at my face then her eyes scanned around at other people's expression. The other people were nervous. Her eyes finally landed on May who was tied to the tree.

        Then Ari dropped the things she was holding and slowly walked toward May with her katanas in hands. Everyone stared at what's happening before them in fear that if they did something then they would be killed. She finally stopped right in front of May and pointed her sword toward at May.

        "Did she do that to your arm?" Ari asked firmly.

        What should I do? If I said yes then Ari would automatically stab May and someone's death would be on my hands. If I said no then Ari would sooner or later find out I lied to her and would distrust me. Our friendship would also come to an end.... While I was thinking what I would say, a large package dropped by a what seems to be a toy helicopter, landed right next to me.

        Ari looked at me and the packaged item with a confused look. I just slowly leaned over to pick the package up and unwrapped it. Inside... I found a sword with a ruby on the handle of the sword. The Sword of Gryffindor from Harry Potter. I started laughing really hard thinking that if we survive this whole situation, I would have a copy of the sword of gryffindor and I can brag about it to all my fellow Potter fans.

        While she was watching me laugh my head off, Ari's arm that was holding the katana at May's face slowly went down to her side but unknowingly, she scratched the tip of the sword across May's cheeks to the bottom of her chin. May whimpered at the pain that was coming off from the cut.

        "Sabrina. Stop. Laughing." Ari commanded. I took a few deep breaths and calmed down. Ari turned back toward May unconcerned by the scratch she accidently made on May's face, "I'm just going to kill her now since you're avoiding the situation and I'm going to take that as yeah she stabbed me."

        I looked at her and back at my sword. I know what I have to do. I walked up to her, slightly nudged her toward the direction away from May and used myself as a barrier with my sword as a shield in fornt of me.

        "Sabrina? What are you doing?" 

        "I'm protecting her. Yeah, she did stab me but I'm not letting you kill May."

        "Get out of the way! She can possibly attack you again if you don't kill her now!" 

        Silence was now between us for a minute until I broke it, "I'm just going to take that risk then." I said that as confidently as I could.

        Ari stared at me for another minute deciding on what she do... "Fine Sabrina, you win. Doesn't mean that I'm happy with this choice" She walked to the side to show that she was truly giving up or so I thought. The minute I walked away from May, Ari threw her sword at May. She hit May on her neck, which instantaneously killing her.

        My jaw dropped. No. No. NO! I collapsed onto the ground... Brilliant! Now my goal to get no one killed disappeared in that one action. I'm usually a very forgiving person but killing someone? I don't think I can forgive her for that... "Why?"

        Ari turned around toward me and said, "I did what I had to do to protect my friends."
