Survive Or Kill

Chapter 9

CHAPTER 9 

MARY'S POV

        It's been a while since Arrianna left and I'm starting get worried for her. Where is she? I can see that Sabrina was also worried and she thinks it's her fault for Arrianna's disappearance. 

        "Did she get attacked? Did she get injured? Did she get lost? Is she dead? Did he get her?" Sabrina ranted on and on with questions while pacing back and forth between two rather short apple trees. She was obviously sleeping when Arrianna volunteered to get water for all of us.

        We need water... All of us. Our mouths are all parched with the need for water. Sabrina obviously has no problem with the lack of water because she told me before that she does need water but apparently her brain never signals the fact to her. She'd probably die of thirst without even knowing it was because of the lack water.

        Wait! Since Sabrina barely drinks water, her water bottle must still be full!

        "Hey Sabrina!" I called out for her.

        Sabrina stopped her pacing and asked, 'What?"

        "Do you still have some water?" 

        Sabrina walked over to her blue and red backpack and tooked out a full water bottle and a knife, "What you like a knife too?" She grinned to herself obviously thinking she's being funny.

        "Yes, I actually do... to stab you with it!" I countered her awful joke. She started laughing really hard. I then observed, "Whatever that was bothering you before seemed to disappear..."

        "Yeah... I decided it wasn't going to happen under my watch!"

        "What isn't going to happen?" I asked curiously. 

        Sabrina's expression darkened considerably, "None of your concern..."

        "Come on! I really wanna know!" I whined. What's so bad that she can't even say? It's ticking me off that she won't tell anyone what happened to her while she was gone.

        Sabrina shook her head, "Not going to happen!" Sabrina then gave me the water bottle and kept the knife in her other hand, "I'm going to go draw something... Bye!" How is she going to do that? I then saw Sabrina start carving her knife into the ground... Oh ok, that just answered my question.

        I took of my leather jacket and placed it on the ground next to one of the short trees that Sabrina was pacing back and forth by and then plopped on the ground. I leaned against the tree and started dozing off.

***************************Some time passes***********************

        Ugh! I'm so tired from sleeping that it doesn't even make sense. The sun was at its highest point shining upon all of us. I can see May chasing Dani all around the apple grove with an angry expression.

        "WHY THE HELL DID YOU STEAL MY APPLES!" May started screaming.

        "I Don't Get Why Are You Getting Upset about APPLES" Dani yelled back at May.

        They kept going on like that back and forth as they're running around. It's actually pretty amusing to watch them like that. The others seemed to be amused by this too.

        Carrie and Sabrina was even full blown laughing.

        Chris, being the annoying person, was slapping his knee saying things like 'Ahhh May is going to kill Dani' and 'Fight!' God he's annoying. The last time he was a decent person was when he gave his boyscouts speech. Sabrina never have never minded his behavior even though she threatened to punch him in the face a few times. I've seen Carrie actually slap him for his behavior.

        I can see Katie, Annie, and Alli just fighting back their laughs. I guess they didn't want to face May's wrath.

        Dani then ran by her orange bag and opened it quickly. What is she doing? Please tell me she isn't going to do what I think she'll do. Her hands reached into the bag and pulled out her knife. May stopped in her tracks and started walking towards her purple bag.

        Looks of shock appeared on everyone's faces. Then Sabrina surprisingly walked up to Dani. 

        "What are you doing? She's holding a fucking knife!" Carrie yelled out.

        Sabrina ignored this and slowly took the knife out of her hand. Dani then collapsed on the ground, "I am so sorry guys... I didn't know what came over me!"

        I looked toward May's direction. She looked deranged, "I'm done with this bullshit! I want to get back to my family! I want to eat food other than apples! And I'm going to fulfill this by killing every single one of YOU!" May's eyes were twitching, her hands are shaking, and she was headed right for me first.

        "Wha-what are y-you doing," I stuttered out. 

        "Since I don't know you in any way... I think killing you would be the easiest."

        Everyone else started diving for their bag for their own knives.

        "You don't want to do that!" I said that with all the confidence I have and trying to put on my brave face. While I said this I kept thinking over and over agian, 'I'm going to die, I'm going to die'

        "I want a normal life without all this and I would like to think that you'll be the first step towards my goal..." May said with an expression that was devoid with any emotion. She lifted her knife over my head.

        Then right before I was heading up to the clouds or down underground, Sabrina stood in front of me with her bag as a shield. May stabbed the backpack shield and it went right through into Sabrina's arm. Sabrina pushed me back out of harms way and grabbed her arm in pain.

        Alli and Carrie both took this chance to take May by the arms and tied a rope around her hands. Where in the world did they get the ropes, I have no idea. Katie asked the question for me, "How did you get those ropes? I don't remember seeing them in the first place."

        Alli then said with a thoughtful expression, "It was right when Sabrina started taking off towards May, that the rope appeared."

        That's strange. It's as if the kidnapper doesn't want Sabrina dead... This whole situation gets more confusing and confusing.

        While Carrie tied May to the tree she asked Sabrina, "Hey Sabrina! Don't you think you should tell us something? You've been hiding something this whole time."

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh! May snapped and Sabrina might reveal what happened to her in that cave.

This is the longest chapter I wrote so far and I'm proud. I guess it's because I haven't really involved Mary in the story but I guess this chapter compensates for it.
