Chapter 12: V.E.N.O.M. vs S.A.B.E.R. part 3 aka finale

Harley's pov

I woke up to find out that we are losing. It did not matter to me anymore since my head hurts so badly. I could see the others fighting so hard, yet still outnumbered. I don't want anyone to attack me, so I just hid until it was all over. Suddenly, I could see Scorpion's dagger hit the lever of the machine before everyone can celebrate, and I was about to leave until I heard the same female voice that I heard in my dream.

???: Harley!

That's odd...that name is familiar.

???: Harley!!!

A male voice came out. Suddenly, my head stopped spinning. I remember now! I am not Octopus. I am not a member of V.E.N.O.M. , nor Mysterious's helper! I am Harley Vance, and I need to go out there to my friends and my sister. Even though I am back, I can't help but want to go to the voices. They...are familiar...

This is stupid, isn't it? Gosh...I really am gonna regret this, or maybe not. I ran towards the device's archway, and I looked back to see Harith(YOUR LOVE-) running towards me, but I had already went in. Sorry Harith. Just this once, I have to leave you. My Hanahaki has been activating a while ago, but not during the fight. I'm assuming I won't have it for a while.

As soon as I entered, I feel warmth go throughout my body. It feels nice. I like this warmth. I closed my eyes and feel the warmth circulating everywhere. I feel even more relaxed. I opened my eyes once more due to the voices in this place. This place...must be a time traveling machine. I landed softly on the grass and watch the memory of mine play where I had a big fight with...Dad! It was Mom and Dad!!! I really wished I didn't run away. I want to stop it from happening. As soon as I was about to stop me from going, I felt the warmth of a hand on my shoulder pulling me away. I looked behind and my eyes widen. It was Harith! It seems that he also entered here. Why did he stop me!?

Harley: Harith, I-
Harith: Shh... *whispers* I'm glad you remember now.
Harley: Why won't you let me do something!? I have the chance to save them!
Harith: Harley...think about it. Everything comes with a price.

That is true...

Harith: If you act so selfishly, you will affect a lot of things. Think about it Harley. If you interfere, you might not actually see us again.

I know that, but...

Harith: Come on Harley...stop and go back.

BUT-!

Harley: But my parents! I don't want them to die in front of me! Not again!!!

I jumped forward but Harith grabbed me into an embrace. As he did, I struggled to get out so I can try and stop on what is beginning to unfold beneath my eyes.

Harley: No!!!
Harith: Harley, listen to yourself right now! You're being selfish!!!
Harley: ...
Harith: ...I'm glad you stopped. We need to get back now-

But before Harith can continue his sentence, the portal seemed to have gone!

Harith: W-we're stuck!
Harley: What!? Where did the portal go?!
Harith: I-I don't know!

Harith's pov

This is bad! This has not happened before, especially when I usually time travel a lot. What to do!?

In panic, I let go of Harley and began to search the area for a glimpse of that shiny bright circle of light. I noticed two people behind me, which is odd since Harley was the only one with me. I turned around to see Harley trying to fend off Helcurt! That's odd...I thought Helcurt didn't go through the time machine with us. That was what I thought until I realized when in time we had gone through. This memory is-!

Helcurt's pov {HOW DID HE GET HERE!?!?!?!}

I was chasing that Leonin but I had lost him. Grrr...it's so annoying! I want to get rid of the last of the Leonins, once and for all!!! As I looked for him, I found a scent all too familiar. I looked around and found just the guy I was looking for! However, it seems that he was with a certain boy. I recognized that scent before, but why did he looked different? It doesn't matter. I'll use him as bait!

After chasing them, I finally managed to grab the black haired boy with my claws as he screamed the name of the other guy.

Harley: Harith, help!
Helcurt: Heheh. TREMBLE~

Harley's pov

How did he get here!? I thought Helcurt was locked back at the Abyss! Ah...but yet again, this is the past. Way before the other demons were locked up. Speaking of which, how will I get back home if he got me!? Then I had an idea. If I could attack him, I can escape. Wait...I forgot I left my wand an hat back in the future! I dunno what else I can do other than scream for help.

Harley: HARITH, HELP ME!!!!!!!
Harith: Harley!

Harith had turned around to look at me. He had used Synchro Fission at Helcurt and then Chrono Dashed to catch me.

Harley: Thanks...
Harith: Let's run befoee the portal closes!
Harley: Wait, what if Helcurt follows!?

But he didn't. He ran away to the direction we had left. Wait...don't tell me...? No!

Harley: My parents and I were there!
Harith: Harley, trust me and let's leave.
Harley: But my parents-
Harith: Just go!!!

He said jumping into the portal and pulling me in it. My hand tried to grab a tree branch but it couldn't hold long. Before I left, I could hear my parents' screams followed by mine. I could die right there! I wasn't gonna let go until I saw a bluish-grey blurry figure go towards past me. As I zoomed back into the future, everything went blank. Could it be that I was saved...? Could it be that my parents had died by Helcurt instead of me...?

I'm furious. Why!? Why, why, WHY!?!?!

It's funny, huh? Not even one slight change in the past can change my future. Nope. Definitely not. Even if I tried to fend off Helcurt, he would probably attack me and my parents for some reason. A reason...to bring out that guy. But then...why is he so familiar...?

Omg, that took longer than I expected. Sksksksksks I was planning to finish this sooner, but my author's block said otherwise. Anyways, it's short. I can make it longer in the next chapter, which I was actually looking forward to. Ah before I leave, I wanna explain that when I meant "Helcurt should be locked up with the other demons.", I meant that those rebellious demons stayed behind and were locked up in the Abyss...or so they though.
