Harley's pov

Mom: Harley! It's time to go. Stop being such a fuss and get to the car already.
Harley: Hold on a sec mom! I just needed to get my hat, alright?!
Mom: Jeez...these days, I wonder what he'll do when we're not around anymore.
Dad: Cheer up hon. Today is a special day! It's his birthday so we should offer him a treat like this. I mean, we rarely go outdoors. Just the three of us like before.
Mom: I guess, but I'm still worried about his mental health. It's just that his behavior is really low.
Dad: Well he gets that from me since I used to get detention a whole lot of times. *laughs proudly*
Mom: *sweatdrops* He obviously does...
Harley: I'm here! Worry not for I, the Mage Genius, finally arrives!!!
Mom: Aw...my sweet little angel is looking real fine today! *hugs and began to teasingly rubs his hair*
Harley: Mom...my hair!
Mom: Sorry sweetie...it's just that your hair is really precious. It's just rare to find those with ginger locks nowadays.
Harley: Still, I'll look messy!
Mom: Alright... *stops* Get in the car. We're going on a picnic today in the woods.
Harley: Yay! I love the outdoors.
Dad: Alright. Let's go!!! *begins to drive*

Along the way~

Dad: *whispers to Mom* Are you sure he'll agree to it? What if he won't listen?
Mom: Come on...if he doesn't then try to persuade him. If he still doesn't want to, then don't even try anymore. He's now 12 so he's old enough to take care of himself now.
Dad: But you already know how he is. He's a mischievous little boy. Always pranking around the place just like the little jokester he is. I wonder who he gets that from. *rolls eyes*
Mom: Ahem...from YOU.
Dad: Oh really? *sweatdrops* *laughs awkwardly*
Harley: Um...mom, dad. I'm right here.
Mom: Sorry sweetie. We're just discussing some important topics. *glares at Dad*
Harley: What's so important that just had to do something about me?
Mom: *stops glaring* *smiles at Harley* Oh nothing much dear...just how much you remind me of your father.
Harley: Oh. I see... *sweatdrops*
Dad: *coughs* Ahem...we're here!
Harley: Wow! It's so flourishing in here!
Mom: Alright...let's take a picture at least. One...two...three... *takes a pic* Don't we look great together?
Harley: Of course we do! We're the best family after all. Hehe...
Dad: Heh. Happy birthday kiddo.
Harley: Thanks mom! Thanks dad! *tackles and hugs them*
Mom: Aw...you're welcome sweetie. We should bring Lesley here next time, alright?
Harley: Mhm~! I want Lesley onee-chan to come here as well! All of the family altogether!
Dad: Speaking of which. We were wondering if you would like to apply to her school. We have the needed formation and we just needed to send it to them. We also needed you to take the test. Come on. You can do it since you're a straight-A student(not really straight if you know what I mean).
Harley: Er...dad? Why though? I'm alright with the people here. You don't have to make me move there.
Dad: No it's not that. It's just that we wanted you to go there so that you can actually male friends for once.
Harley: Dad, why can't you understand that I'm better off a loner!?
Dad: Why can't you understand our desires at all!?
Mom: Hey, hey. Calm down you two. You might end up making a mess.
Harley: Oh forget it! *runs off*
Mom: Harley!!!
Dad: Hey, Harley! I didn't mean to...
Mom: Huh...? *looks around* Something's not right. We need to go after him! *rushes to Harley's direction*
Dad: Right! *thinks* Even I got a bad feeling...

I didn't know what to do. I just kept on running. Eventually, I became exhausted, but of course I had to trip along the way. I ran away from them. That was my biggest regret ever. I must've fell unconcious for a while because the first thing I saw was...

Of course I couldn't do anything about it. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't bring them back. I must've passed out from shock because I woke up once more to see doctors rushing me somewhere. The next thing I knew, I woke up to the loneliness of the world. I can't ever redo what I had done and I know that. But...I wish I did somehow find a way to get them back. They're gone and it's all because of me. We can never ever be a complete family ever again...the only thing that was left from that moment was our family picture. Now...I don't think we'll ever go there as a family ever again. I regretted everything...I lost so much hope. However, I don't mind having a new start. I took the exam and passed it with flying colors. Maybe here in the Moniyan Empire, I can finally restart my journey. Perhaps make friends even? I don't even know anymore. I just want to get away from all this...

Octopus: *jolts from his sleep* Gah!!!
Mysterious: Oh you're finally awake.
Octopus: Huh?
Mysterious: In order for the plan to work, we needed all of the team members to be present. You kinda passed out there so I had Angela to take care of it. Say, you ready for today's mission?
Octopus: Ready when you are!
Mysterious: Good. I expect you to be at the control center by 3 pm sharp. Got it?
Octopus: Got it.
Mysterious: So be it then. *leaves*
Octopus: Ngh... *rubs forehead* I've got another massive headache today. I just hope it won't bother me during missions. Still, what was that dream all about; or is it even a dream? I just saw me but different. I had ginger locks and a mom and dad...well it looked like I used to. Still, things are strange...also, how did I end up here? I don't think I remember that. Still...I shouldn't let it bother me since today is important. Today, we'll finally be able to conquer Zlatan. Thanks to lockdown, we can seize it once and for all! Although deep down...why do I not want this? This is what I was aiming for at the start, right? Mysterious said so...in order to avenge us, we need the magic cube to conquer the city. It doesn't feel right, but I have to do it. I have to surpass them! Er...that still sounds wrong to me. Ah, whatever. I got to get ready now- *coughs* And I hope this doesn't disturb me...

Lesley's pov

I was clutching onto the photo of my copy of our family photo; exception of me, of course. I should've been there when they went out. If I did...then they could be here right now. They didn't deserve this...I felt so guilty that time. I just hope we can find a way to reach the others here. I heard that Harley and his friends were here due to their field trip. No wonder they did lockdown. They took him! My brother. Now that I lost my only family left, I don't even know what to do now. It's a good thing that the others are there for me. Not only Harley, but my lover was taken as well. I just didn't know how to react. I just couldn't...but now, I have to stay strong. I must get them back, no matter what. Suddenly, I heard a shifting noise coming outside of our base. Is someone infiltrating our base!? I grabbed my sniper and use my camouflage skill. As I was about to shoot, I suddenly saw a familiar face.

Lesley: Alyana! It's good to see such a familiar face. What are you doing here?
Alyana: A quick stop to give you the newspaper. I'm surprised no one has infiltrated this area yet.
Lesley: Same here... *reads newspaper* Another area destroyed. What's with Mysterious these days!?
Alyana: I dunno either. We used to be so friendly and good-hearted. Now...he suddenly acted like that. Saying he needed the cube immediately. I don't know if you noticed, but I think he's making a time machine.
Lesley: Is that even possible!?
Alyana: Knowing Mist, it is. Also...the cube enhances technology and controls it as well so there is no doubt that he can make one with it.
Lesley: That's insane...but why though!?
Alyana: To change the past. He wanted to get his parents back and he needed a time machine to stop them from being killed. And to make one...
Lesley: Oh...he requires the magic cube. You've actually already explained that.
Alyana: Nevermind. Finish your equipment Les. We need to hurry. I'll get reinforcements.
Lesley: Alright!


Harley...Gusion...no matter where you guys are, I'll always be look out for you. I must get you guys back. Whatever it takes...whatever the consequences...I'll risk it.
