Chapter 1: What is happening to me!?!

Aha! What a lovely day here in the land of dawn...Today, we are seeing one peculiar yet brilliant mage. The genius mage: Harley Vance. The Vance family is one of the noble families in the empire. Harley is the sole heir of his family, and yet he has an older adopted sister namely Lesley Vance. Lesley and her family swore to protect the Vance family at all cost and yet Miss Vance took her in as her own daughter for one reason; she lost her family...and she didn't know exactly what had happened but she knew that she needed to protect her little brother at all costs...although, Harley may be a bit of a prankster. Sure he is the top student at the academy, but he can be a bit boastful...still, he hasn't gotten any friends due to the reason that everyone is jealous of him having high grades. Today, however, will change his life forever. It was moving day. The day when Harley finally awoken to himself.

Harley's POV

Moving day, huh? I heard the school I'm going to is special. I just...want to have friends for once...I've been lonely in school for as long as I remember...And to satisfy myself, I pull pranks on my sister and the staff...but I could never forget that night, though it's best not to tell it to anyone yet...

Lesley: Harley! We're already here at our new home.
Harley: Hmph. I guess it's fine...
She looked at me with great concern.
Lesley: Look, I know you miss them but cheer up! New school, new lessons-
Harley: Which I already know!
Lesley: -AND you'll probably make a friend! Don't be down now...new life, new adventure! And besides...it's dinner time now...
Harley: Night time already? Time does fly fast.
Lesley: Come on, I'll make you your favorite.
Harley: Count me in!

After dinner, I took a shower, dressed up in my pajamas and went to bed. Though, if you are expecting to go to a new school tomorrow, would you feel as nervous as I am? My head is spinning with thoughts which are bad enough to make up for my nightmares...
Will anyone want to be my friend at all?

Normal POV
The Mage Genius drifted off sleep, or tried to, while keeping his thought in mind. Even if I did have a friend. He thought. Would they even accept me for who I am?

The next day, he woke up to the ringing of his alarm clock. 4 am. He began to reach out to one of his course books and began to memorize it by heart. He does have an unusual habit of studying. It is because he wants to have the best grades to make his family proud...since the incident in the forest. He thought, and it looked like, it was his fault that his parents had died. Not entirely. There was someone behind it. Harley fought with his dad for not wanting to go here, but he never knew what happened next. It happened in a moment. He blink once, twice but he realized something...

They were gone...

And he couldn't do anything about it. Harley had hoped that school wouldn't be as bad as the last ones...though he wished he never came because the moment Harley entered the building, there was a great murmuring. He saw some strange and odd people. Some of them are animals! Some look ordinary but dangerous. Some, well...look scary to say at least. It looked like this school was meant for special people like him. Alas, he went to the principal's office and registered. He got his schedule at once. He left while looking at his schedule. He didn't notice where he was going, but he bumped into someone along the way.

Harley and ??????: OW!!!
Harley: S-s-s-sorry! I wasn't looking at the way!!!

But before the guy could speak, Harley ran away with his space escape skill.
