Chapter 5: Thriller plus Romance!?

Harith's pov

What's taking them so long!? Why isn't he out yet!? I can't believe I would be this impatient but it's Harley I'm talking about! I can't just loose him! I waited and waited... ((bruh...it's been like less than 10 minutes, chill...and don't mind the photo above. XD)) I kept pacing around. What if he- No, don't think if that Harith...there's no way I'll just loose him like that. After a minute or two, the same nurse came with a worried smile.

Nurse: I have good news and bad news...good news is that he'll be alive. Bad news is he has to stay here in order to live.
Harith: How long will it take?
Nurse: Depends...usually 2-3 weeks.

2-3 weeks!? I'd rather skip school than wait! ((Which you will kinda-)) (My Oc; Rosalyn: Stop breaking the fourth wall! I'm running out of flex tape!!!) ((Fine...)) Ugh...if only there was a way to let me stay here. I know Lesley would be the first one but...my phone suddenly rang. Unknown number. I picked it up and heard a familiar voice.

??????: Um...Harith? Is this your number?
Harith: Lesley! How'd you get my number!?
Lesley: Alucard.
Hairth: I swear, I'm gonna kill him by the time he gets back!
Alucard: Shi-
Lesley: Anyways...something came up so I think it's best if you would take care of Harley for me? I'm going to be gone for a while...
Harith: Alright ma'am.
Lesley: *laughs* Just please call me Lesley.
Harith: Alright Les. Bye! *call ends* Yaaassssss!!!

I can't believe I get to stay with him! Oh I bet the heavens are with me this time. The nurse came in and I told her what happened so she allowed it since I'm not underaged. Then she said she'll call the school regarding that. After that she left. It's just me and Harley. I promise to take good care of you! If something bad happens, I swear...I'll never forgive myself! He looks so peaceful, and cute! Don't forget to mention that. I love how he's just so cute and small...well then. I'll stay on guard even while sleeping! Gosh...this afternoon was so tiring...I then realized we still had that history project! I should do it for him and he could present when we come back. I just can't wait! But first, I need some rest...

Some time later...

Well, let's say I had a dreamless sleep. I was then woken up to the sound of screaming. Before long, I got into my defensive state until I realized who was there.

Harith: Oh hi Nana. Sorry about that... *chuckles*
Nana: It's fine big bro. Say, we heard what happened and...is he alright!? Is he hurt!?
Harith: He's fine he just-
Cyclops: Nuuuuu!!! My new best friend is gonna die!!!
Diggie: I know, right!? He was a great friend to us!!! *cries with Cyclops*
Diggie and Cyclops: Waaaahhhhh!!!
Lylia: And I'm friends with idiots...
Angela and Chang'e: Hey!
Lylia: Exception to some people.
Harith: Look calm down...he'll be fine. He just needs to stay here to live. Also, he just collapsed suddenly...I dunno why though.

That was when I noticed Diggie and Cyclops stopped crying but kinda know what's going on...as if they're hiding something...

Cyclops's pov

Oh I know why...his Hanahaki must've been triggered. If it gets worse, he'll obviously collapse. The problem is coughing out flowers. That's the last stage and if he doesn't confess of get surgery in time...yeah... I think Harith is suspicious of us. He will definitely want answers. Me and Diggie needs to keep Harley's love for Harith; a secret from the Time Traveler himself. What do I do...? Luckily the nurse came in.

Nurse: May I talk to one of you guys? Other than Harith of course...
Cyclops: I'll go..
Nurse: *once they left out of earshot* Are you aware of what is happening to Mr. Vance?
Cyclops: Yeah...how bad is it...?
Nurse: Well it's a good thing it's not yet bad. Is he perhaps going to take surgery?
Cyclops: Knowing him, I don't think so.
Nurse: Alright...if you happen to know who he likes, I suggest for him to try to be more sociable and warm up to them. That way, the disease won't do much effect on him.
Cyclops: Got it. Thanks.
Nurse: No thank you. And tell me when he wakes up.
Cyclops: Alright. *enters room* We still got 10 minutes so...I wanna talk to Nana for a sec.
Nana: Alright...?

After a while...

Nana: So Cyclops? Spit it out already.
Cyclops: Are you aware of Harley's behavior around your brother.
Nana: To be honest, only a bit. I rarely know where my brother is nowadays. He just goes to nowhere in a flash.
Cyclops: Oh I see...it's just that, well...Harley's got the disease. The one that rumours about it spread a year ago?
Nana: Oh my goodness! Wait...why are you telling me this...?
Cyclops: Because the one he loves so happens to be your brother...

Welp. I finished up dinner which is just turkey with corn and carrots. Oh and don't forget gravy! After disposing the container, I once more looked at his peaceful state. I'm kinda jealous of that. I am worried head over heels about him while he just sleeps away into a world of wonder. I sighed. I layed my head next to him. Slowly, I began to drift to sleep...

The next day...

Nana's pov

It's Sunday. What am I forgetting other than brother? Hm...wait...I just realized yesterday. Harley and my brother Harith. Yaaaassssss!!! My OTP will sail!!! I jumped out of the bed while squeling. I am so happy! I can't wait to be an aunt. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Yusss...I can't wait either. I realized what I finally forgot. I was staying at Lylia's house because I would be alone back at home. Whoops. At least no one woke up thanks to me. Thank goodness...it would be embarrassing if I were to explain what happened to Lylia's parents. I noticed that gloom's still asleep. Oh well. I went down to see them make waffles. How nice. After we ate, I went up to take a shower and then dress up. We're going to see a movie called: The Grudge. Hm...why is it called that way? Guess I'll find out. I then waited for Lylia when she finally came out.

Nana: What took you so long!?
Lylia: Sorry. Gloom was eating my socks again, so I grounded him to the room.
Nana: Wha- Nevermind that. Well...let's go shall we?
Lylia: Of course...

During the movie...

Nana: Gah!!! Turn around, turn around!!! Nuuuuu!!! *clutches tightly onto Lylia* It's right there!
Lylia: Nana! *huff* I can't breathe...
Nana: Sorry Lylia...I'm just so scared... *lets go*
Lylia: It's fine sugar.

After the movie date...

Nana: That was fun. We should do that again sometimes.
Lylia: Yeah. It was great.
Nana: Hey! Let's visit Harley and see if he's already awake. I can't believe it if my brother is stressing out now that he has full responsibility on him.
Lylia: Speaking of which, did you find out where he goes out?
Nana: Not a clue sadly...
Lylia: It's fine...we'll figure it out someday. In the meantime, let's do our best at school.
