Ethan looked at Ilsa in disappointment and effortlessly said "it was all a set up, every single part?" Ilsa could not bring herself to look Ethan in the eyes because she truly had feelings for him despite everything that had happened. Ethan dropped his head and said "You set me up? How could you do this? I thought we had something special Ilsa" She softly replied "I'm sorry I real..." Benji interrupted Ilsa and aggressively said "how could you work for Lane he is a terrorist why would you drag yourself into this?" She replied "I had no choice" "Ethan please believe me" Ethan started to walk away and dismally said "everyone has a choice Ilsa, it turns out that you just made the wrong one" A single tear dropped from Ilsa's eye as she shouted Ethan's name over and over again. Ethan got further and further away from her, she knew if she didn't do anything now she would lose him forever. So she nervously shouted "Ethan, please you have to believe me. When I laid eyes on you for the very first time in Paris I knew there were sparks between us, I could not stop thinking about you, I did not want to hurt you like this because.... well because I have feelings for you Ethan"
Unexpectedly Ethan turned around and started walking back towards Ilsa. Her heart was beating faster than a drum. Once he reached her he softly put his hands on her waist, looked her in the eyes and smiled. He said "whatever has happened we put behind us, it can be me and you now" Ilsa quietly replied "what about Lane?" Ethan gently took both of her hands and said "forget about Lane, come and join the IMF with me, Benji and Luther" After a long discussion with Ethan she finally agreed. Ethan grinned and said "welcome to the IMF agent Ilsa Faust" She smiled back at him while he ran his hands through her smooth hair and kissed her passionately. Ilsa breathlessly whispered to him "I love you" Ethan took a deep breath and whispered back "I love you too"
Benji and Luther stood there awkwardly not knowing where to look. Benji jokingly shouted "okay come on love birds let's go" Ethan took Ilsa by the hand and they both headed back to Ethan's apartment, while Benji and Luther went back home.
