Yn's pov
Kayla asked me if I wanted to go to the mall after school. I nodded my head in agreement and started out the class room. I left my money at home,so I told her i would meet her at forever 21.
I walked home and went up to my room and grabbed my pink and blue wallet. I looked inside to see how much I had left. I walked to my grandma's room and saw her in bed.
"Hey grandma" I walked to her and hugged her tightly kissing her forehead.
"Hey yn, I made lunch downstairs for you"
"Okay,I'm going to the mall but I'll be back in like 2 hours"
I picked up my customized pink wallet and the sandwich grandma made for me, and headed for the door.
"BYE NANA!" I yelled walking out of the door.
When I got to the mall I headed straight for forever 21 and seen Kayla with a watermelon Arizona can in her left hand and with her right hand she was looking through the racks.
She looked up and motioned for me to come over to her. I fixed myself and walked over to her.
"Hey babe" she said.
She had the sweetest baby voice I've ever heard. Her voice is always high pitched.
I turned around to find Lucas standing at the slushy stand with his eyes focused on the screen of his iPhone.
Kayla snapped her fingers in front of my face, but I ignored it because I was completely focused on Lucas.
"Bitch! Hellooooo, earth to yn" she said moving her hand up and down in front of my face. I looked at her and smiled.
"I'm sorry,I was just looking at that shirt,it's really cute" I picked it up and showed her.
"that shirt ugly as hell Yn. Aye Lucas!"
She yelled across the whole mall,and everyone looked at her for a quick second, my stomach started doing backflips. I did not want him to come over here.
"Fuck yall looking at?" Kayla said extra loud.
Everyone went back to what they were doing, except Lucas. He was walking our way. He stopped in front of Kayla,on the right side of me.
"wassup" he said in his deep voice.
"Someone seems to think that someone.." Kayla looked at me,then back at Lucas raising her eyebrows to give an obvious hint.
I put my head down and played with my fingers hoping he wouldn't say anything embarrassing like "I'm not looking for a relationship." I just thought he was cute.
Kayla nodded, you two handle this, she put our hands together and with that, she walked away. I looked away to avoid looking at his face,other wise I'd melt all over again.
Lucas spoke after a while. "It's okay to talk to me ma" I looked up at him and smiled a little. He grabbed my hand and pulled me signaling that he wanted me to walk with him. I started to shake, his hand was so soft and when he pulled me I felt a spark.
I looked back at Kayla who was siping her Arizona while watching us walk. She waved her hand letting me know that it was okay to leave her. We started to walk to the food courts and I got something from McDonald's, he wanted to pay but I resisted and he gave up and went to Taco Bell. We sat at one of the small round tables and began eating.
"So why did you transfer" I took bite of my burger.
"I used to live in Chicago,but my mom wanted to move cause she thought it wasn't safe" he said and bit his taco.
I nodded understandingly.
"I understand that" I grabbed some of my fries and took at big gulp out of my fruit-topia HC drink.
"What about you" He said.
"What about me?" He sat up a little.
"I want to know about you" he looked at me.
I took a deep breathe and started.
"When I was 5, my mom died in a plane crash." I decide to leave out the part about my step dad because I barely know him.
"I'm the only child, and I live with my grandma"
Lucas looked shocked.
"I'm so sorry about your mom" I nodded.
"It's fine Lucas,it's not your fault." I stated.
Lucas stared at me for a while, he was in deep thoughts too.
"Your beautiful" I smiled and looked down hiding my blush. When I raised my head,he had my phone in his hand.
"What are you doing?" I said taking my phone from his hands.
He looked up at me.
"you should get a password, nice selfies by the way" he stood up "you cute,you cute"
I smiled,embarrassed and stood up.
"Imma see you around"
he walked away leaving me staring,like I had just seen Jesus.
