The day continued on, the five of them were at the studio. They just finished rehearsing and Mitch and Scott were heading to Scott's car.
"Mitch, Mitch-" Scott called out but got cut off by his best friend sticking his pointer finger up, shushing him.
The tenor placed his hands on his hips."I'll explain when you and your boyfriend come to our tour bus" Mitch spoke in his melodic voice. "Oh, and tell him he has 20 minutes to get there, before Kevin and Kirstie get there."
Scott could only stare as his friend walked away to the car. How could Avi get there without Kevin, who was his ride? They've finished the spreecast a few hours ago before going to the studio. The stream lasted for around half an hour or so, Scott couldn't remember clearly. They all had fun, answered questions and sang a few songs that were requested at the end of it. It was around 5 PM, and Scott was extremely interested in what Mitch had to say in his defense.
It really, really wasn't his job to out Avi without him even knowing it. He could only imagine how panicked Avi must feel right now, but he couldn't talk to him because he chased after Mitch. Remembering how scared Mitch was when he came out to Kirstie and Scott, the baritone cringed. Yep, Avi's gonna be hysterical. It was not Mitch's job to act like a match-maker and make Avi come out like that, no plan, nothing. But Scott found himself to be glad, not angry at his best friend. Maybe it was relief? Relief they won't have to hide it? Yes, he could really feel hope sparking in him reggarding their relationship. They could tell people how they've grown closer, they could tell everyone how happy they are, they could be happy in public and in front of everyone.
The whole car ride was kind of awkward in Scott's opinion, but whenever he'd take his eyes off the road, he'd see Mitch smiling to himself as he stared out the window. The one thought that was going through his head was "How did he know?" But then again, Mitch has a very advanced gaydar. Mitch somehow always knew someone's sexuality based on how they act and move, the little gestures they do and the way they talk and think. Now that he thought about it, Scott wasn't very surprised when he found out.
Once they got out of Scott's car and got to the door of the tour bus, Mitch fidgeted with the keys painfully slow, causing Scott to throw his head back and groan.
"Calm down, lover boy." Mitch only teased him more as he finally unlocked the door. Scott instantly darted inside, pulling the tenor with him.
The blond anxiously sat on the couch at the back of the bus as they waited for Avi. Mitch was scrolling through Twitter again, his notifications exploding. Scott already texted Avi and told him the time limit Mitch gave him but what he hadn't expected was for him to be there after only 7 minutes. Needless to say, even Mitch was impressed. But of course, he didn't show it, he just kept up his confidence.
By the time Mitch opened the door, the frantic knocking had already stopped. The tenor revealed Avi leaning onto the door frame, trying to catch his breath.
"Did...Did you run?" Mitch hoped not. Would he really run all the way to from the studio and to here, just to talk? Maybe he really wasn't ready to come out yet. He received his answer once he saw Avi nod.
"Can I come in? My legs hurt.." Avi asled sheepishly as he stared at the tenor.
Mitch instantly stepped aside, letting the slightly taller man in who straight up threw himself onto the couch. He hummed in content at the contact with the soft material. The other two gave him a minute or two to fully calm down.
"Alright, there really isn't that much to say about you two, it was painfully obvious. I didn't have to work my ass to catch onto it." Mitch stood in front of the couple, looking down at them.
