They were both sitting down in their chairs. They had the same look and pattern as the floor so they fitted in quite nicely. Both men were neatly tucked in under the table as they waited for a waiter or waitress to come and give them the menus. It was, obviously, an Italian restaurant, which now made even more sense as in why Mitch knows this place, so the food had to be good. There was now a fairly long queue so the couple got lucky.

At first, Avi wasn't sure about how this was going to go, what they were going to talk about and such since they basically knew everything about each other and it seems as if his worry came true. He was sitting across from Scott in complete silence, neither one of them knew how to strike up a conversation. The brunette noticed the awkward shifts Scott did every now and then, he didn't like the silence either.

"Av, you're staring." Avi's head perked up at the other's question, he didn't really hear it due to how much he focused on observing Scott's posture, movements, trying to read him.

"Sorry, can you repeat that? I got carried away in my thoughts." Mumbling sheepishly, Avi looked down at his hands which were neatly placed on his lap.

The blond smiled. "You were staring."

"Was not."

Scott leaned back in fake shock, covering his agape mouth with his hand. "The audacity to deny it. How dare you? Do you expect me to not at least consider teasing you about looking at me like how you look at food." He let out a small laugh escape his mouth as he leaned forward again and resting his hands on the table, purposefully copying Avi.

Shaking his head fondly, Avi responded with a shy smile. "Don't pretend you haven't been caught staring as well, Scotty. Don't worry, I noticed you looking at me during rehersals and while we're on stage."

"At least I won't deny it." He shot back playfully. „And at least I have a sight to look at, I'm just...tall."

Avi wasn't sure if he should be more stunned by the compliment or the fact Scott didn't see himself as everyone else around him did. Scott was perfect to Avi, sculpted like a Greek God, irreplacable personality, humor, voice, eyes, everything.

"Two zero for me." Scott chimed with a smirk. „Already made you blush twice."

With a pout, the brunette rubbed at his slightly reddened cheeks. He wasn't sure if it was too noticeable. Actually, he was sure it was, since Scott noticed it in the dim lighting of the room. They fell into another silence, but a comfortable one this time.

"Scotty, I hope you know how gorgeous you are."

Scott hummed in response, raising an eyebrow at his boyfriend. Avi took his lack of response as a cue to continue. "I hope you know how beautiful of a person you are, inside and out. You look absolutely perfect. Just the sound of your voice means it is going to be a great day for me. You are irreplacable in every way and I couldn't be more thankful for knowing you, let alone dating you. I've never felt like this with anyone else, your love is so much more tangiable, I can reach out and touch it, not get blocked off and denied. It's like a wish or hope, except I can actually feel you so I know it's real, and not just a wish. A day without you is an incomplete one, Scott. I hope you understand how much you mean to me."

The blond just stared at him, baffled. Of course, people have complimented him before, but Avi's wording is always different from the rest and so much more meaningful to Scott. He didn't fully understand how he got to where they were, with Avi or why he was interested in him, but he was thankful. Thankful was an understatement. He muttered a small "Woah." before going back to silence.

"That was...woah." He repeated, eyes never leaving Avi's. They were filled with both worry and everlasting love the brunette always had for him and it pulled at his heart strings just a little more.

"I feel like I don't say this enough but...Every minute of every day, I am always so grateful to have you in my life and in my heart. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate having you in my life. For helping me through the bad moments and being there to help me celebrate the good times, I cherish all of the moments that we share together. There aren't enough words in the dictionary for me to tell you how glad I am to have you in my life. I am so lucky to have you by my side. Everything you do for me never goes unnoticed. I don't know what I did to deserve someone as wonderful as you, but I am eternally grateful to have your love, support, and affection. Thank you for being you, and for having me by your side." Scott spoke softly and slowly, as if allowing Avi to soak in his words and just how much he actually means them.
Once he was finally able to divert his gaze from the table, Scott glanced up at Avi, who looked back at him with a sheepish smile – the smile that always made him melt because of how much warmth it held, how much affection he could show just from one small smile. Without even speaking, Avi showed how he felt at the moment and it always surprised Scott. Not that he wasn't used to it, just that it's always a little more appreciative than the last and the best thing, in Scott's opinion – Avi only ever smiles like that at him.

"And then you say you can't word things nicely."

"So, are you totally ignoring what I just told you so you can scold me?" The blond pouted, listening to the other's laugh ring in his ears.

Avi's lips curved into a soft smile. "You didn't let me finish, dork. That was...really sweet of you. Thank you, I mean it. I just thought you deserved to know how I see you. How everyone around you sees you."

"Really? You really see me as some...charming person that lights up your day?"

With a nod, the brunette reached for Scott's hand before taking it into his own, gently rubbing Scott's knuckles with his thumb. "I really do. Did I ever lie to you?"

He gave Scott a moment to think. After a few seconds, the blond shook his head slowly. "Then trust me, that is how everyone sees you. You're like...a ball of sunshine that just walks around and makes people laugh." Avi laughed to himself.

"Well, now I know what I'll do tomorrow. Dress up as a sun and go make you guys laugh." Scott said with a fond smile as Avi only squeezed his hand tighter.

"God, please don't, you know Mitch is going to post it all over Twitter."

"What, will you be ashamed of me if that happens?"

Avi quickly lifted his head to look at Scott. „No, no, just...a bit embarrassed? Since- you know, I'd never have the courage to do something as goofy as that, y'know?"

"I'm joking with you, Avi, don't get all nervous. Even if you would be ashamed, I'd still love you."
The brunette huffed in fake annoyance. He still had a smile on his face.

"Thanks, but I don't think I could ever be ashamed of someone like you." Scott audibly 'aww'ed at him, earning himself an obnoxious eye roll from Avi.

Here they were now, both of their cheeks dusted with red, their hearts full and in place as they stared at each other. They absolutely adored each other and they both were sure that is their bandmates were with them, they'd make snarky remarks about them being „distractingly cute" or „too much" or something along those lines. It felt as if it was yesterday, when Avi confessed to Scott. When they look back at how they acted around each other, it was painfully obvious that they had feeling for each other. Scott would get distracted by everything the other man did, every single movement he did, Scott would take in and Avi didn't even notice how crazy he was driving him. How desperate he felt and how desperately in love he felt in him. Meanwhile, Avi only showed the part of himself that saw Scott as only a friend and nothing more, due to how sure he was that Scott didn't share the feelings for him. It slowly started out as catching the other's glance, letting their touches linger for a while longer, talking to each other with every chance they had, getting more physically affectionate with hugs, gentle touches and such. Now they were pretty much free to act how they once acted only in private. It was a relief but they also missed their little missionary style, in the end, they always settled with how it currently is.

"You okay?" Scott asked the other gently. Avi was thoughtfully looking at Scott with slightly glazed eyes, head tilted to the side.

A smile made it's way to Avi's lips once again. "Of course. Even better 'cause you're here."

"And you called me the cheesy one." The blond let out a playfully scoff as he rolled his eyes.

"Now you understand how I feel."

Their banter was soon interrupted by a waitress standing by their table. Avi instantly smiled up at the short woman, whose hair was neatly tied up in a ponytail as it hung over one of her shoulders. She had two menus in her hands, which she carefully placed on their table before speaking. "I will come back to you two fellas in a few minutes, just gonna let you pick your food and drinks, alright?" She clapped her hands together and walked off as the two men nodded up at her.

The couple settled with their menus, occasionally glancing at each other and making eye contact. Both men cracked into small smiles at those little moments.

"What did you have in mind for drinks?" Avi asked.

Almost shocked, Scott put the menu down on the table in front of him and shrugged as he said, "Wine."

The brunette mentally facepalmed to himself as he nodded. "Yes, of course. But only one bottle. No more than that." He lifted up an accusing finger and pointed at Scott. They both were aware of how Scott sometimes gets drunk at their dates, then he'd try to make Avi at least tipsy to try and relax a bit more but he always failed to get through to Avi once the brunette set his mind on something.

"Yeah, I get ya. I promise I won't."

"Good, because I would like to enjoy this with a sober Scott, rather than the drunk one that can't even form coherent sentences, let alone eat dinner without missing his mouth." Avi spoke with a blank expression, showing just how absolutely serious he was about this and the blond instantly nodded.

"Am I really that bad?" Scott asked after a few seconds of silence as he picked up his menu again with a grimace on his face. Avi just hummed and nodded, eyes not leaving the pages as they skimmed over all the different food.

Once he finally decided on what he would order, Scott closed the menu and set it down – again. "You picked out what you like?"

"Hmm, yeah, I think I'm all set. Going with-" Havi glanced at the menu again to make sure he read it correctly. "Beef and Mortadella Meatballs in Tomato Sauce. How about you?"

"I settled with Pasta all'Amatriciana." Avi nodded at him as he spoke, although Scott was pretty sure he didn't know what it was. He probably knew what it looked like, but not what it's called.

Soon enough, their waitress came back and they told their orders to her, Scott having to point at the name because he started stammering. By the time the waitress realised what he was talking about, Scott was already feeling embarrassed enough so he just shut his mouth, earning a hearty laugh from Avi which ended up making him smile after the woman left.

Avi, leaning back, laughed. "Smooth, Scotty, very smooth."

"Yeah, I know." Scott responded to him confidently, as if he already forgot how awkward and shy he felt a minute ago. Avi shook his head at him.

They spent the rest of the time talking and joking, enjoying the time with each other. Their food arrived, and Avi tried his best to have at least some manners and not eat his food too quickly so Scott didn't feel awkward after. Turns out, Scott finished his meal before him because his portion was noticebly smaller in comparison to Avi's, not that he minded. He just wasn't as hungry as Avi was.

"I really had a nice time tonight." Scott reached across the table to gently cup at Avi's cheek. The brunette slowly put his own hand over his, kissing it lightly before speaking.

"I did too. Was a real breath of fresh air, wasn't it?"

"Yeah, it was." The blond agreed with him as he drew his hand back before turning around and digging out money from his pocket to pay when a waiter came to take their food.

"Will you pay or-"

Before Avi could even say what he had in mind, Scott cut him off without hesitation. "Yes. I will. I want to make up to you for how I acted these last few months, this is my way of making it up to you."

"If you say so, Scott." Avi had a playful undertone to his voice which made Scott smile again, as he did countless times that night specifically because of Avi.

A man, presumably a waiter, walked up to them. He had black hair and a wide grin on his face. The man looked a bit too familiar to them, especially Scott. He felt himself grit his teeth once he saw the man up close while Avi only shifted in his seat in discomfort.

"Just checking in to see if you two are done, Avi, Scott." Daniel all but purred at the two with a friendly looking smile, but it did not reach his eyes one bit.
