Scott woke up to the smell of pancakes. This was going to be a good day. (Sike)
Surprisingly, he has slept for a good 8 hours without waking up once. On the couch. Scott felt peaceful, he usually didn't sleep that soundly. Having Avi so close was so calming to him. But then again, just Avi's presence was calming. His eyes were still adjusting to the light. There usually wasn't that much light in his bedroom, so this was sort of surprising. But then again, Mitch probably opened the curatins. Looking out the window, Scott could definitely confirm it was indeed daytime, and it's a sunny day.
Enen tho he was still sleepy, Scott streatched on the couch, hearing his back pop. Damn scoliosis always has something to do with this. He could hear Avi and Mitch talking in the kitchen. It had to be almost noon, if we aknowledge the fact Mitch is actually awake and he is not a morning person. With a yawn, the blond got up and wobbled his way to meet the other two.
"Good morning, Samantha." Mitch'a voice pulled him from his thoughts.
With a lopsided smile, Scott responded in his morning voice. "Morning, Stephanie. Morning Bass Man." Mitch laughed at him.
"Woah there, Scotty, now you almost sound like Avi's talking voice!" The tenor covered his mouth. Avi, who was leaning onto the kitchen counter besides Mitch and watching him make pancakes, shook his head fondly.
With a mumble, Scott walked up next to Avi and rested his head onto his shoulder. "How are you still tired?" Avi laughed as he put a hand on Scott's back, the other resting on the counter to support both of them.
"I just woke up, of course I'm tired," the tall blond yawned again, causing his boyfriend to give him a hearty laugh. "Stop laughing...When are they done, Queen?"
"Oh, we already ate, I'm just making you some since I knew you'd be happy." Mitch smiled at the little nickname his bandmates often called him. In fact, he was happy he was known as 'Queen' in their fandom and how he sort of "invented" some iconic phrases. Truth be told, he never thought the Pentaholics would pick up on it and use it.
Scott groaned. "I'm starving here."
"Scotty, calm down, we know you turn into a monster when hungry and you can eat more than me, that says something." Avi gave him a smug smile. He knew how much of a drama queen Scott became when hungry, so he decides to abuse the power just a little bit while he had the chance.
„Drag!“ Mitch yelled.
„I hate you both right now.“ The blond turned away from the other two men, pouting with his arms crossed over his chest. His boyfriend simply laughed and wrapped his arms around hus torso from behind while burrying his face in his back. Avi mumbled something, Scott knew that by the vibrations and rumble he felt in his chest, but he couldn't make out what. The sensation almost tickled him so he let out a quiet giggle.
„What ya say there?“ Scott asked as he turned to face Avi. Avi allowed him that and released Scott from his embrace only to hug him again once he was looking at him. „Someone's clingy today, huh?“ The blond could feel him nod in his shoulder.
Mitch then turned to look at him with a dumbfounded expression on his face. „What are you doing? Hug your man!“ he exclaimed. „If you wanna keep him, show him love, Scooter!“ The tenor pointed at Scott, narrowing his eyes at him who just stared at him with a sheepish smile as he wrapped his arms around Avi, finally.
„I'm not always going to be here to babysit you and shit.“ Mitch laughed. He finally put the last pancake on the plate and Scott almost ran to the table, leaving Avi in a laughing fit. They all sat at the table and waited for Scott to finish, occasionally having small talk with each other with Mitch scolding Scott for talking with his mouth full. „Oh my god, can you not?“ The tenor glared at him.
Once he finished, they went ahead and got changed since they fell asleep in the clothes from yesterday. Scott was wearing a white hoodie with dark blue, almost black jeans. Mitch picked a plain black shirt that was loose on him and pastel blue, skinny jeans. Since they both didn't wanna leave Avi in his clothes, he borrowed a pair of trousers from Mitch that fit him and Scott gave him a flannel, which looked too big on him but the blond couldn't love it more.
„Do we have any rehersals?“ Avi asked as the trio sat on the couch.
Mitch thought for a second before responding. „In, like, an hour.“ The couple groaned. „Hey, don't you get upset on me!“
„He's right, we shouldn't make the Queen mad.“ Avi pretended to whisper to Scott, but he made it painfully obvious on purpose.
"I feel like I'm with children." Mitch rolled his eyes dramatically, causing the other two to bust out laughing.
They spent a while talking, joking and laughing. Once they were supposed to start heading to the studio again, they had to wait another 10 minutes for Scott to find his car keys. Mitch was staring at him like a disappointed mother while Avi was playing with Wyatt. Scott felt bad for leaving Wyatt alone during tour and he didn't wanna leave him with a cat sitter, so why not bring him along? There's always securitiy around and they all love the cat, even the strictest.
Scott came running out of the bathroom. "Found them!"
"Why were they in the bathroom?!" Mitch basically screeched at him. How can someone forget whatever they don't constantly have in their hands?
He recieved a lazy shrug from Scott as Mitch dragged Avi away from the couch, almost causing him to drop Wyatt. They all rushed out the front and there could be heard a small "sorry, Wy Wy." through the locked door from the tenor.

"Sorry we're late!" Scott yelled at the three entered the studio.
"Where were you?" Kirstie, who was standing next to Kevin, instantly asked. "Yoh almost had us worried."
"Well, nothing happened, just that a ceratin someone lost their car keys." The tenor eyed Scott, who gasped.
"I did not lose them-" the two kept up the "argument" as Kevin and Kirstie looked past them at Avi, who just stood there with an awkward smile. The bickering ended with both Mitch and Scott laughing at themselves after a few minutes.
Kevin then spoke up. "Y'all are done?"
"Yeah, yeah, let's just get to the rehersal." Rolling his eyes, Mitch made his way into another room, where they practiced the choreography, his bandmates following him. Everyone was smiling except for Avi.
"Not excited about the dancing?" The blond slowed down to wait for his boyfriend.
Avi just shook his head. "Not in the slightest. I still have to call my doctor to get an apointement to get it checked out."
Scott nodded at that. He hated seeing Avi almost limping around, it's only getting worse by the day because he's not getting treatment for it. Kevin tries to always stay close in case he needs anything, being the good best friend he is. Avi tries to prove that he's fine and then his knee starts hurting more. They had to slightly change the original choreography for Avi so he doesn't have to use the ramps often, which he was very thankful for.
The rehersal room was big, so it was easy to spot a man that was part of the security with another man. „Hoying, you know him?“
Scott squinted at him, trying to get a better look at him. When they got closer, his breath hitched. The same black hair, the same brown eyes, the same charming smile, the same freckles. The same man he dated 3 years ago. How was this even possible?
Scott felt like a weight was dropped onto his shoulders yet he felt as light as a feather. He stood in his place and just stared. He glanced around at his bandmates and noticed how they were also surprised, but not as nearly as him.
"...Daniel?" He said quietly. The man only smiled at him more.
Daniel was Scott's ex. They met one day at Starbucks, be didn't have Mitch with him. The place was packed because it was weekend and a stranger came up to him and asked if he could sit there. It started out as small talk, but turned into real conversations. Scott was instantly invested in him. Daniel was around Kevin's height and wore glasses, framing his warm eyes. They exchanged numbers and started meeting up more. This went on for a couple of months until one time, Scott asked him to be his boyfriend. Daniel, of course, said yes. They were together for about a year. Everyone loved him, because he was so genuine and kind. It was a shame they had to get seperated. Daniel was diagnosed with skin cancer, fairely late, which ment only less of a chance of survival. Scott supported him through his therapy and it was one of the hardest times of his life, watching a loved one slowly suffer. He kept visiting him whenever he could and Daniel kept saying he's going to get better. Until one day, the doctors told him that Daniel had a type of skin cancer that was able to spread to other parts of his body, such as his internal organs. It spread, he had to get an emergency operation which failed. The doctors told Scott he won't make it and he was absolutely shattered. They didn't even know if he'd be able to wake up. Scott went to say goodbye for the last time as he held his boyfriend's hand. He was heartbroken. He got over it eventually, thanks to his family and friends, but it dedinitely wasn't a fun time.
Avi on the other hand, was worried. He was worried he was going to go back to Daniel. They were longer together after all, but Scott wouldn't do that, would he? He was a equaly surprised at the rest of them and happy he was alive.
Scott had tears in his eyes. "How?" He could only force out.
"I woke up from the coma." Daniel replied quickly. He ran up to Scott and hugged him tight. Scott also wrapped his arms around the slightly shorter man as he quietly sobbed into his shoulder. Daniel just ran his fingers through his hair to calm him down. Avi saw no problem with this, until Daniel decided to kiss Scott once they pulled away from the hug. Avi winced at the sight and looked away. The rest of his bandmates looked over at him as Kevin put his hand on his back.
What Daniel didn't expect was for Scott to gently push him away. He looked at him, confused.
"Dan, listen..." Scott sniffled. "I knownwe were together for a while, but after the doctors told me you...won't wake up, I moved on-"
He got cut off by Daniel interruptinf him, eyes full of hope. "Maybe we can try again? I missed you a ton, baby..." He reached up to cup Scott's cheek as Scott grabbed his hand and brought it back down by his side again.
"You didn't let me finish..." The blond mumbled with a sad smile. "I've moved on. I...I'm with someone and I'm so happy with him. Please try and understand."
Avi released a breath of relief. Scott actually loved him.
"Yeah, okay...I understand. Can we still...be friends? Just like in the start?" With a soft smile, Daniel said.
Scott only nodded and hugged him again. They stayed in the hug for around a minute, just enjoying each other's presence. Scott pulled away first and held Daniel by his shoulders. "I missed you..." he brought his gaze to Avi before looking at thr man in front of him again. "But I'm off limits."
Daniel wiped his tears. "That is fine. I'm just glad you want to stay friends."
The rest of the band came forward and hugged Daniel in turns, telling him how happy they are for him, even Avi, and he he genuine about it. The brunette stood next go Scott and felt an arm around his shoulders. He smiled up at him.
"Don't worry, this changes nothing. I still love you." Scott whispered to him.
The brunette mumbled loud enough for Scott to hear. "I wasn't worrying." They both knew it was a lie, but Scott decided to let it got for now when he saw Daniel walk up to them again.
"So...you two are together?" He questioned.
The couple nodded and looked at each other. "Well, I hope you two are happy!" The black haired man responded, his a little too wide to be considered genuen as he glanced betweek the two, staring at Avi a little longer. Avi looked down at his hands, awkwardly shifting in the spot. Scott picked up on the two of them.
"How about we fo join Mitch, Kevin and Kirstie and you can watch us rehearse?" Scott tried to kill the tension. He watched as Daniel nodded cheerfully. Watching as he walked away, Scott leaned into Avi a bit.
"Don't worry about him, he's probably a bit hurt. He'll be fine." The blond spoke softly.
Avi took his hand and held it, giving it a small squeeze. "I know. I'm glad he's okay."
They both headed towards the others//Hope you enjoyed! Probably won't be able to get out the next chapter for a couple of days, it's going to be a long one, plus I'm going to get busy. I apologize if there are any typos, I'm doing a last minute check when I'm tired as hell :)//
