When I first met you, I saw you in myself. I saw me in yourself.

Two figures twirled around elegantly to the timeless melody.

Breaths rapid, sweat slowly spread across the focussed temples.

It's time to take a short break!

Ake gulped half a bottle of water in a go.

"What's up Ren? You seem to be distracted a bit today" said Ake.

"Hmm, Senior is not doing well these days. As you know it's been two weeks since our series is out and yeah it wasn't well received. Senior is quite upset about it"

"Sorry bro! Quite unfortunate that it didn't turn out as he expected"

Yoren gave a bitter smile.

"Ah, by the way when are you officially coming back? That father of mine can't wait to give an earful to you"

"That..." Yoren rubbed his temple.

"Lies between lovers does no good, you should tell Haar soon that you are coming back to the academy" Ake shook his head.

"I know. I know. Like I said Senior is quite down these as days and I am just waiting for the right time."

"Don't wait too long, you might miss the chance to tell the truth. I know you guys put so much effort into DOB. But yeah sometimes in life things only happen when it's time. Look at me who would have imagined I would make it to the nationals, it's just my time has come. It will be soon his! Um...why don't you take him somewhere nice so he can clear his head a little?"

"That is actually an awesome idea" Yoren's eyes gleamed.

"Senior" Yoren hugged Haar from the back. "Let's go somewhere far away for a few days okay? do you have any place in mind where you want to go?"

Haar knew his contract will not be extended and he cannot support himself as an individual artist with all the debt he still had to pay because of Kai. It's time they should make a plan for the their future. It's not a bad idea to take a break and make plans then.

Haar nodded in a yes.

Yoren tapped his phone four times to see if there is something wrong with it.

"There is nothing wrong with your phone" Haar laughed.  "This place doesn't have a good phone connection nor internet".

"This place" Haar was referring to is his hometown. He hasn't back to this place for more than 15 years. Nothing has changed much. The canals surrounding the village, the fisherman eager to catch their first prey, the long willow trees lining the water bodies and the vast green fields everything remained the same. The place looked like it stopped in time very different to the capital.

After holding up his phone in various directions Yoren finally gave up enjoying the nature surrounding them.

The worn wooden boat stopped at a small pier.

Haar and Yoren took rest at the small tavern in the village before visiting the huge house in the middle of paddy fields.

"This used to be our home. I still remember my dad used to wake up early in the morning to water the fields and my mom used to make him warm buns for breakfast. Those were my favourite."

Yoren could see Haar's eyes watering a little. He held Haar's hand.

After Haar's parents died in a fishing accident he was left to the mercy of his relatives who looted him of his inheritance. Luckily with the help of his school teacher, he was able to win the court case and could get some of that money back. By that time, their house and the field was already sold. All Haar could do was gather the little amount he had to move to the capital in the hopes of a better future.

"Do you miss your parents too?" Haar asked as he looked at the night stars which are covering the sky like a huge bright blanket. A rare sight in the capital indeed.

"I used to but I stopped many years ago" Yoren planted a small kiss on Haar's hands which are tousling his hair.

When Yoren is younger his parents divorced and went abroad and found partners there. He was left in the care of his grandmother. They used to send money for Yoren but never visited once in these years.

"Senior when I make a lot of money I will buy back your land and house and we will make it our holiday home, oh then Games can come with us too" Yoren declared proudly.

"I cannot wait to mooch off of you, be rich soon" Haar smiled as he ran his fingers though Yoren's hair once again making it messy.

It seemed the stars are smiling at them in a silent sorrow foreshadowing of what was to come.
