Part 13

The next morning Betty woke up and left her room to get some food, she was so hungry, which made sense considering the fact that she had barely eaten the day before.

She made herself some toast with peanut butter and then went back to her room, but before she could close the door Jughead walked in.

Jughead- Good morning.

Betty- Good morning.

Jughead- Are you okay?

Betty- Yeah, I just went to get food.

Jughead- Okay, do you want me to make you anything else?

Betty- No, I'm fine, just go get ready for your d-date.

He nodded but he didn't want to, he just wanted to stay with her.

He left her room and she instantly locked the door.

She continued to stay in her room and just look at baby stuff on her computer but suddenly she heard a knock on the main door, then she heard a woman's voice.

She opened her room door slightly and watched as the man she loved kissed this girl on the cheek, but then he noticed her.

Jughead- Betts, come here.

She wanted to say no but she couldn't let him know that she was upset so she went over to them and said hi.

Carly- Hi, you must be Betty, I'm Carly.

Betty- H-Hi, it's nice to meet you.

{No it's not}

Carly- It's nice to meet you two, but Jug we better get going, we don't want to miss our reservation.

Jughead- Alright, I'll see you later B.

Betty- Have fun.

Carly didn't even notice the fact that Betty was pregnant which she was kind of thankful for but as soon as the two of them walked out the door, Betty locked it instantly before running back to her room and crying into her pillow.

Then Betty grabbed her phone to call the one person she could.

On the phone:

Veronica- Hey B, what's up?

Betty- S-She's so beautiful. (sobs)

Veronica- What, who?

Betty- This girl that Jughead is on a date with. (sobs)

Veronica- Jughead's on a date?

Betty- Yeah. (sobs)

Veronica- Let me guess, you have finally realised you love him?

Betty- I've known for a little while now. (sobs)

Veronica- B, then why don't you tell him. (softly)

Betty- I can't. (sobs)

Veronica- Why?

Betty- Because he won't feel the same and then it'll ruin everything. (sobs)

Veronica- But B, keeping this from him is destroying you. I can tell.

Betty- I-It doesn't matter, I can't let him hate me. (sobs)

Veronica- You know he could never hate you.

Betty- B-But-

Veronica- Betts, I'm coming over, okay? I'll be there in five minutes.

Off the phone:

Veronica hung up the phone and quickly made it to Betty and Jughead apartment.

As soon as she knocked on the door Betty opened it, and Veronica could see how broken she looked.

Instantly she pulled Betty into her arms and hugged her as tight as possible, still being careful of the baby in the girl's tummy.

Then they went to sit on the couch together.

Veronica- Look, I know you think that telling him will just make everything worse but that is also what you said about the pregnancy. But look at where it got you two, you were so happy...until you decided to not tell him that you love him.

Betty- I know but what if he doesn't love me like that?

Veronica- What if he does?

Betty thought for a second before she hugged Veronica again, she had been so helpful to her.

Betty- I love you V, thank you.

Veronica- Of course B, I love you too. But now, tell me all about the appointment that you had yesterday? Did you find out the gender?

Betty- We did, but we aren't telling anyone.

Veronica- WHAT? YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO ME!!!

Betty- Sorry V, you'll find out in a few more months.

Veronica- Ugh, whatever.

The two of them laughed and continued to talk for a while until Veronica had to go.

Then Betty was alone waiting for Jughead to get home so she could tell him how she really felt.

A little while later she began to hear voices outside of the apartment so she got up and looked through the peephole to see Jughead and Carly kissing, making her run off crying.

After a minute Jughead walked in and heard Betty's cries, instantly he ran to her room and tried to open the door, but it was locked.

Jughead- Betty! Are you okay?!

She could tell he was worried by the sound of his voice but she was too hurt to say anything.

Jughead- Betts, please open the door, I need to know you're okay!

Betty- P-Please go away. (sobs)

Her voice cracked mid sentence making Jugheads heartbreak.

Jughead- I'm not leaving until you open the door. (tears)

She didn't respond, she just continued to cry into her pillow.

But what Jughead said was true, he refused to leave until she opened the door.

So after almost an hour she finally opened the door to let him in.

Instantly he pulled her into his arms but she pushed him away, making him even more concerned.

Jughead- Betts, what is going on?

Betty- N-Nothing, just stop. (sobs)

Jughead- It's not nothing, I need you to talk to me. (tears)

Betty- I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU! (sobs)

Jughead- W-Why? (tears)

Betty- BECAUSE IT FUCKING HURTS! (sobs)

Jughead- What hurts? (tears)

Betty- I love you Jughead. (sobs)

Jughead- I love you too. (tears)

Betty- N-No, I'm IN love with you. I have been for so long but I finally realised it a few months ago. But it hurt to see you with that girl. She was so beautiful and so much more than I will ever be. And I know I'm not enough bu- (sobs)

Suddenly she was cut off by him kissing her passionately on the lips.

Jughead- Betty, I'm in love with you too.

Betty- Y-You are? (cries)

Jughead- Yes, I have been. But I thought I shouldn't be so I went on a date with Carly to try to forget my feelings for you.

Betty- Then why did you kiss her? (sniffles)

Jughead- I was trying to see if it felt even half as amazing as it does with you. But no one could even come close.

Betty- R-Really?

Jughead- Yes, I love you Betty Cooper.

Betty- Jughead Jones, I love you.

She wrapped her arms around his neck while he placed his hands on her hips, then they let their lips collide again.

Soon enough the two of them were in their bed making out which led to the longest night of their life 😏.
