Draco POV:

Lilith was supposed to meet me after her last class in the room of requirements but she never showed. I waited patiently as I tried some simple spells into the cabinet, none worked.

It was around 10pm and the corridors were quiet, the only noise was from the Slytherin common room, as I entered the commons flashing lights filled the room as speakers were playing in the right hand corner, people passed around drinks around the room, spilling them constantly.

I turn to Blaise who is jumping up and down off beat to the music. I nudge his shoulder harshly as he turns around to face me. "What the hell is going on?"

"Welcome back party, ours is so much better then the Gryffindors last years. Don't you see?" Blaise stopped jumping as the music slowed down.

Lilith must have ditched me and gone to this stupid party instead I thought as I look around the room. "Where is Lilith?" I ask shouting over the music.

"Haven't seen her since transfiguration." Blaise stops and looks around the common room, shrugging his shoulders as he can't spot her. "She was talking to Luna after the lesson maybe she know."

I roll my eyes as I skim across the room. No Gryffindors were invited, the Hufflepuffs were dancing close to the speakers, swaying at every sound. The Ravenclaws were either sitting down or by the drinks, Luna was easy to spot quickly as her unique style popped out beside the rest. I huffed as I made my way over to her, people nudged me as I made my way over, one 'couple' stepped on my toe as they did some weird dance. I chose to ignore them as they were embarrassing themselves enough without me doing it for them.

"Lovegood!" I shouted over the music again.

She turned around quickly as she skipped over to me, her purple dress flowed as she took leaps between the floor. "Hello, Malfoy."

"Seen Lilith anywhere?" I asked. I tend to be nice to Luna, although she is friends with Potter and his followers but Lilith trusted her.

"Nope, sorry. Is she okay?"

"I'm sure she is fine, she didn't come to-" I stop myself instantly as I realise I would be telling Luna something she shouldn't know. "She didn't come to see me." I correct myself.

"Oh, I'm sure she is alright." Luna said perkily.

A few moments went by were Luna was talking about something she read in the latest daily protest, I was barely listening as the door opened wide. Lilith stood in between the entrance, looking disgusted at everyone. She took one look at me as a side smirk appeared on her face. she walked over toward a tall, buff looking Ravenclaw in our year. Her eyes connected to his as her lips moved softly, I couldn't make out what she said but the next thing I know the Ravenclaw was following her quickly out the room. Anger flushed through me as I watched across the room.

I interrupted Luna quickly, making sure I don't lose Lilith in the crowd of people. "I am going to get a drink." I lied. I clutched my fist as I follow them out the room, 20 meters behind them.

Lilith pulled the Ravenclaw around an empty corner, I followed them quickly as the raged filled me. I turned the corner quickly, causing my hair to flick out of place. I brushed my hand through my hair and let out a huff, I look up from the floor and my heart skips a beat, I step back uncontrollably and start to breath heavily.

I thought Lilith was about to cheat but this is much worse. Her eyes sway towards me as her veins disappear on her face. Her fangs didn't disappear though, they stayed while she licked the blood around her mouth. A loud noise filled the corridor as the Ravenclaw boy hit the floor, I looked down at his neck where 2 gang bites lay. I take another step backwards as my eyes continue to lock onto the Ravenclaw.

"Is he dead?" I ask in nerve.

"I don't know." Lilith shrugged while letting out a sinister laugh.

I furrowed my eyebrows and took another step backwards. I opened my mouth but when I tried to speak no words formed.

"Scared?" Lilith asked with a grin on her lips, still covered in blood. "Don't worry about him." Lilith points to the Ravenclaw flat out on the ground. "I didn't kill him."

I didn't reply as I looked down at the floor. My mind baffled. Why was she acting like this?

"Do you know what would be fun." Lilith asked in a low tone. "If you died... and turned into a vampire." A small laugh sneered out her lips. "Then we could both turn off our humanity, together." Her eyes traveled towards mine. "Think of the adventures we could go on... feeding on people as we travel place to place, leaving people worried and anxious that their town is in danger."

My hands was shaking in my pockets as I straightened my poster, refusing to look scared. I rattled my brain, trying to remember what Lilith meant by 'turn off our humanity."

Lilith took a step towards me as I took a step backwards. "I won't bite." Lilith mocked as she continued to laugh at her own joke.

"You flipped your switch..." I said, trying to remember what I read in 'The Original Family" Book.

"Mmm hmm" Lilith continued to step towards me, her grin never faded.

I realised that this was the first time I was actually frightened of her and it probably won't be the last.

As Lilith reached me she went onto her tip toes and whispered in my ear. "I don't feel anything anymore. It's good... not feeling." Her warm breath touched my skin, causing a cold feeling down my spine.

She was supposed to be there for me, to help me but everything changed once she turned off her humanity.

I froze still as a evil laugh come from beside me. Lilith looked over at the Ravenclaw laying on the floor. She bit her lip trying to control her laughter "I think he might be dead." Lilith said with no hesitation.

My eyes widened as my heart felt like it was about to blow up inside my chest. I couldn't think straight. I couldn't speak properly. "Y-you need to turn your humanity on now." It was a stupid thing to say, but it was the only thing that came to mind.

"No."

"You were meant to be there for me. Remember, together." I claim while I watch her carefully incase of sudden movements.

"Bullshit. I don't want to experience the world with guilt and stress." Lilith furrowed her eyebrows as I could see anger flow through her.

"No one does. It's the point of life." I claim, hoping her humanity will switch back on.

"Not my life." Lilith stopped as she saw a look first year walking around the corner. "How quick do you think it would take me to kill her?"

A small gasp of air flew to the back of my throat. "What?"

"I'm joking, I'm joking— partly."

I stare at her blankly while my lip quivered. I look down the corridor at the first year but she was no longer there, a sigh of relief slipped out my mouth as I thought she walked away but as I turned around to Lilith she was gone too. It was just me alone in the corridors with a dead Ravenclaw laying on the floor with 2 punctures in his neck.

Sorry for taking so long to update, we had some complications in the family but I'm trying my best to make more time to write. <3
