Lilith POV

September 1st 1995

I woke up especially early this morning, it was my first day at Hogwarts from transferring from another school. It was around 5am and the bird where singing loudly and the wind was getting cooler towards the winter. I was going through my check list for the 3rd time to see if I had forgotten anything. While I was going through the last few thing on the list I heard my bed room door open slowly.

"Everything alright?"

I looked up quickly to see my father standing in the door way with a concerned look on his face.

I furrow my eyebrows, continuing to look at my father. "Yeah, I'm just going over a few things." I replied.

"Your mother and I won't be able to watch you leave." He paused and let out a sight. "I'm sorry. We will drop you off at the station and then we will have to go. Alright with that?"

A sigh of relief slipped out once I heard what my father had to say. I was happy that they were not going to stay. After all, My father is Klaus Mikaelson an original hybrid and my mother is Caroline Mikaelson a vampire. They were both well known in the wizard world and not for a good reason.

"Thats fine. I will be ready to leave in 15 minutes." A small smile appeared on my face as I turned back to my check list.

My father returned the smile as he turned on his heal and started to walk back out the door. "Lilith?" He questioned my name one last time before leaving. "Just remember that you can't tell anyone about being a hybrid you have to keep that a secret and promise me you will not lose control around people."

I slowly nodded. "I promise."

If I am being honest, I am really nervous for my first day at Hogwarts. I have so many things to worry about for example making new friends would be especially different as I have never really had a true friend to call my own. My farther always tried to keep me safe but he never told me why. 

My father called me downstairs to take a photo of me for my first day of my new school. I quickly brushed my hands through my brown hair that I curled last night especially for today and made my way downstairs carrying my trunk down with me.

It was exactly 10:48am and as the day was going on it was getting colder and colder. I knew that the train would be leaving at 11am sharp so I hurried over to store the trunk onto the train, it took me a while to barge through parents hugging and kissing their children saying goodbyes, everyone around me seemed to be laughing or smiling but I could not help but think about that my parents never were able to do that.

My hands were sweaty and it was quite hard to keep my trunk up right without it toppling over. As a struggled to get my trunk into the compartment a small soft voice from behind me began to speak.

"Would you like some help with that?"

I looked over my shoulder to see a fairly short girl with long blonde hair with a smile spread on her face.

"Uh, yes please." I admired awkwardly.

Me and the blonde haired girl both lifted my trunk into the compartment quicker then I expected, She quickly turned to me and gave me a soft smile before speaking softly. "I'm Luna by the way."

"I'm Lilith, nice to meet you." All of a sudden I didn't feel so awkward anymore.

"Are you new here? I don't think I have seen you around before."

"I'm a transfer." I let out a soft giggle, covering the silence.

Luna looked at me with a welcoming smile on her face, she opened her mouth to say something and then she was interrupted by people hurrying everyone on the train before it left. As I had been talking to luna I didn't realise the time had gone by so quickly.

"follow me, you can sit by me and my friends on the train, I'm sure they won't mind!"

As soon as Luna had finished her sentence it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulder. I never thought I would have been sitting by people on my first train ride to Hogwarts, there wasn't time for me to think because an old lady was pushing my arm lightly to move onto the train.

After 5 minutes of walking around on the train Luna finally found her friends. She opened the door quickly and everyone greeted her in. I felt almost out of place when I first walked in, it felt that was crashing their talk. That feeling soon went away when Luna introduced me to everyone.

"This is Lilith! she is transferred to our school." Luna then turned toward me. "The one sitting on the left side in the corner is Harry Potter" Harry gave me a happy smile as luna carried on taking. "The girl opposite Harry is Hermione Granger." Hermione gave me a small wave before tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "The one next to Harry is Ron Weasley." Ron looked up at me and gave me a smile with a mouth full of chocolate, I could not help but giggle a little. "And this is Neville Longbottom sitting next to Ron." Neville gave me an awkward smile and looked away as soon as I smiled back.

"N-Nice to meet you all" I said while stumbling my words.

I sat down next to Hermione and Luna sat next to me. Hermione turned to me hastily. "What year you going into?"

"5th year-" I respond

"We are all the same year!" Luna cut me off excitedly.

"What house do you think you will be in?" Said a small voice coming over from Neville's corner.

I looked at him just blinking not really knowing what to respond with because I hadn't really given it much thought. As I was about to respond Luna thankfully cut me off again.

"I hope Ravenclaw!"

Hermione, Ron, Harry and Neville all looked at each other and shook their heads "No no no, she will defiantly be Gryffindor." Ron admitted still with a mouth full of chocolate.

I just sat there and smiling trying to shrug off the worry pain that has been growing in my stomach ever since they started talking about houses.

"Which way is the toilets" I interrupted Luna.

"Oh, uh, down the corridor near the Slytherin area."

"Slytherin?" I was guessing this was another house but still questioned anyways.

"Ya. There another house at Hogwarts. They are known to be somewhat evil so try not to get in their way."

"Oh alright." I walked out and down the corridor of the train cautiously, as I got to the end of the corridor the train stuttered on the tracks. My feet left the floor leaving me to go flying and tumbling. I heard a small laugh from a boy behind me but I didn't want to look up from the floor already knowing how red my face has turned.

I got up quickly before anyone else could notice. I sorted out my skirt and was about to turn around to head back to where Luna was seated until I heard a boy laughing. There was a small whisper from a deep voiced boy behind me. "Did you see that girl fall?" The boy spoke to his friends.

I desperately wanted to get out of this situation. Since I didn't feel like getting embarrassed even more I walked back to Luna and the others mentioning nothing about the recent accident.

The rest of the train ride went pretty quick as we were all laughing and joking around the whole time. I still could not get the worry and embarrassment out my head.

All I could think of was that I would not mind any house. except Slytherin.
