Grace had you teach Jake the hierarchy of the Na'vi. Mo'at was the Tsahik, the spiritual leader, Jake called her dragon lady. Eytukan, which he kept calling Eytucan, was the clan leader. Tsu'tey will be the next clan leader. Neytiri, the only one he really memorized, would be the next Tsahik. Her and Tsu'tey become a mated pair.

Then Jake asked the million dollar question, "So who's this Eywa?"

Norm was shocked, "Who's Eywa? Only their deity. Their goddess, made up of all living things. Everything they know. You'd know that-"

"Calm down Norm," you warned.

"Who's got a date with the chief's daughter?" said Jake and you glared at him.

"All right, knock it off, you two," intervened Grace. Thank you. "Village life starts early."

You went to your link and hugged Norm. "See you later."

So lesson one was learning to ride a direhorse. You petted yours, stroking the dire horse gently. Tsu'tey had shown you how to get on and it was your turn. It came to you naturally.

Jake, however, was having problems. When he mounted it Neytiri kept talking to it soothingly to calm her down. You formed Tsaheylu and your pupils widened, as did Jake. His horse whined.

"That is tsaheylu," said Neytiri. "The bond. Fell her. Feel her heartbeat. Her breath. Feel her strong legs."

"You may tell her what to do," added Tsu'tey. "Inside. For now, say where to go."

"Forward," said Jake. Pale took off and Jake landed in the mud. The three of you laughed.

Tsu'tey sighed. "This alien will learn nothing, a rock sees more, look at him." You watched Jake try to remove some mud from his tongue. You and Neytiri laughed.

"You are not wrong," You said. You looked at your direhorse. "Gently walk forward, please." It did just so and you smiled proudly. Jake was instructed to go again.

_ _ _

Jake spent a lot of time with the colonel. You, Grace, Max, and Norm didn't like that. So a solution was found. You packed up your things, you were getting out of Dodge.

"I'm not about to let Selfridge and Quaritch micro-manage this thing," Grace was saying to Jake. He looked a little guilty. "There's a mobile link up at site 26 we can work out of, way up in the mountains."

Norm's face changed instantly. "The Hallelujah Mountains?"

"That's right."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah."

"Yes!" Norm laughed and hugged you. Then he focused on Jake, who had no idea what you were talking about. "The legendary floating mountains of Pandora. Heard of them?" You nudged him but he was still annoyed. You smiled at Jake apologetically.

Trudy was to take you to site 26. She was laid-back and funny. You sat with Jake and Grace in the back, Norm was with her up front. "We're getting close," said Grace.

"Yeah," replied Trudy. "Look at my instruments."

"Yup, we're in the flux vortex."

"We're VFR from here on."

"What's VFR?'' asked Norm

"Means you gotta see where you're going," answered Trudy.

"You can't see anything."

Trudy laughed. "Exactly. Ain't that a bitch?" You laughed. And looked out into the endless white mist.

Then it cleared up. Revealing all the floating mountains with sunlight shining through the clouds. It was beautiful. "Oh my god," you whispered.

"Are you drawing, Y/N?" asked Norm.

"I am now." You took out the sketch book and sketched out what you saw. You couldn't wait to sit down and get to color it. You were all in awe.

Trudy laughed. "You should see your faces." You eventually made it to your destination. "Thank you for flying Air Pandora." It was suddenly quiet as the helicopter shut down.

Grace went in and turned on the lights. "Welcome to camp. So, this is my bunk."

You and Trudy looked at the fridge. "This stuff is nasty," she said. You nodded and noted the pictures on the outside. Your bunk was under Norms'. Then you walked over to the linking area.

"All right," said Grace. "Jake, hang a left, you'll be in the link at the end. Unit one. Beuhla. She's the least glitchy. And you, Y/N, you get unit two, she's second best."

You smiled gratefully and went in.
