Hesitation for Love

The Gift

~Third Person Pov~

It's early in the morning and Caitlyn gets out of bed to take a shower. She turns on the water and steps in. She takes a refreshing shower to wake her up. After she finishes she opens the shower curten and reaches for her towel. She dried herself off and got dressed. She walked downstairs slowly and quietly. She wasn't sure who was awake and who wasn't. She walked into the kitchen and started for the coffee machience. She waited for it to start brewing. When it was finally ready she poured her coffee into her mug. Barry had just woken up due to the racket downstairs. So he put some clothes on and walked down stairs. He looked around to see Caitlyn on the floor. He ran to her and helped her off the floor.

"What happened." He said

"Oh nothing I just fell...I'm fine."

She was about to start cooking when Barry took the spatula out of her hands. He stood on his tippy toes waving it in the air. She tried reaching for it but, she was to short. So she jumps onto Barry's back trying to reach for it with her hand. He pulled her off his back at sat her on the floor.

"Barry please hand me the spatula." She pleaded

He shook his head. And made sure the spatula was out of her reach. She knew the only way to get it was to fight for it.
She wrestled him to the floor and pinned him down, she tried grabbing the spatula out of his hands but she couldn't pin him down and grab it. She managed to grab the spatula and made sure it wasn't in his reach. Barry wasn't gonna have this so he used his super speed to pin her down.

"Hey, that's cheating." She frowned

He didn't respond and chuckled at her. Still pinning her down. She glared at him.

"Just hand me the spatula and we have a deal." He finally replied

She knew it was no use to fight back. Barry was way stronger so she couldn't get out of his grip.

"Fine." She grumbled

Handing him the spatula. He smiled. When he was about to get up Emily walked into the kitchen. Emily giggled lightly and smiled. But she realized she must of interrupted somthing.

"I'm sorry did I walk in on you guys." She laughed

Caitlyn turned her head at Emily. Barry quickly got off of her and he handed her the spatula. She swiped it out of his hands and grabbed a pan out of the cabinet. She opened the refrigerator and grabbed the egg carton. She cracked the egg onto the skillet. After she finished cooking all the eggs she put everything away and, went to the dinning table. She sat their plates down. Barry had six and Caitlyn and Emily both had two eggs each. After they finished eating Emily got ready for work. When she walked out the door it left Caitlyn and Barry alone.

"So what do you wanna do today." Barry asked

Caitlyn wasnt honestly sure what she wanted to do. She really wanted to go swimming. But shopping was really fun too!

"Etheir shopping or swimming." She answerd

"How about swimming." He said

They both agreed and went upstairs to their bedrooms. Caitlyn got dressed into her red and white bikini and Barry got into his black swimming trunks. Caitlyn handed Barry a towel from the hall closet. She also grabbed one for her self. They walked over to the sliding door and opened it. They walked out to the pool and sat their towels on the pool chairs.
Caitlyn walked over to the diving board and walked up onto. It felt like she was walking the plank. Barry ran over to her and pushed her before she could jump in. She wobbled on the board and and fell off into the pool. Caitlyn came up out of the water to catch her breath. After Caitlyn swam out of the way Barry dived in. He swam towards her.

"Sorry I pushed you in." He said

"You've been forgiven." She answered

She put her arms around his neck and kissed his lips pationetly. She broke the kiss and splashed him with water.

"Caitlyn don't even start this.." He said cheekily

"Why not." She grinned

"You know I could create a hudge water tornado right?" He answered

After a couple of hours they went back inside. Caitlyn went to her room to get dressed into some dry clothes. When Caitlyn came out Barry was already dressed.

"You still wanna go shopping." He asked

He didn't wait for her reply he picked picked her up by the waist and carried her out the door. They got in the car and Barry started driving.

"Never new the fastest man alive would be driving a car." She said as they were driving

"This is our little secret." He took one of his hands off the steering weel and put his finger over his mouth. He pulled into the parking lot and parked the car. They stepped out of the car and walked into the building. Barry and Caitlyn went their separate ways. Barry walked around the mall not sure what to buy. But, then it hit him Caitlyn's birthday was in two days. So he walked to the women's clothing section. He thought about getting her a nice dress. But he didn't know her size. So he left the clothing department and walked to the Jewerly department. He walked into a little shop called Shaws and Ella's Jewerly. He saw a display case with necklaces and rings in it. Caitlyn would of freaked out if he got a ring. He looked closer and saw a a shiny necklace with a heart on it. He saw a old man come out from the back of the shop.

"Do you need any help." He asked kindly

"Actually yeah I'm looking for a gift for my girlfriend." Barry replied

"These love birds are quite popular." He said pointing to the display case.

It had to love birds connecting beaks with a heart around it. It was perfect he thought.

"It's perfect!" He exclaimed

The old man carfully pulled it out of the display case and put the necklace into a box. Barry grabbed his wallet and pulled out his credit card. He slid it down the machience and punched his pin in. The old man handed him the bag. As Barry was walking out the old man called out,"She's gonna love it."
Barry smiled and walked to the entrance of the mall. He texted Caitlyn to meet him there and waited quietly. When she finally arived she had one shopping bag in her hand. Barry grabbed her free hand and they walked out the door together. Barry hoped in front seat and Caitlyn got in passengers seat. They had a quiet drive home to the beach house.
