Hesitation for Love

What does she think?

A/N-I figured I'd write about Cisco's little date with Iris.

~Last Night~
Cisco was so worried sitting there at the bar. He kept looking up evey few seconds, glancing around the room. Maybe she wouldn't come. But right at that moment a stunning looking Iris walked in. She was wearing a white dress that went down to her knees. With short black boots. Iris walked up to the bar and sat on a bar stool by Cisco. He couldn't make out a word. She looked amazing.

"Yy-ou look lovely." He said stuttering a little bit.

"Why thank you. You don't look to bad yourself."

Cisco was wearing a blue buttoned down shirt with black jeans. He felt a little uncomfortable. He wasn't as dressed up as Iris. He ordered them both a drink. He drank his a little faster than she did. He wanted to stay a little sober. So, he didn't drink as much as he would with Barry and Caitlyn.

"So, Cisco anything interesting happen today."

"Nothing, accept being here with you." Cisco replied

Iris giggled and snorted quite a bit. The alcohol definitely kicked in for her. Cisco told her jokes the whole time they were there. Making comments about little things. When it came to the end of the night they overall had a good time. He walked her to her car, and he even gave a her a small kiss on the cheek.

~Present Day~

Cisco had spent the whole day reciting his experience to Caityln. Cisco had a good time last night. He hoped to do it again some time. He didn't relize right now but, he was catching feelings for her. He wasn't sure how or when they developed. It just sorta happened. He had told Caitlyn about the weird feelings he's been developing for  Iris. Caitlyn gave him some good advice.  Barry had walked into the Cortex in the middle of Cisco telling a good joke.

"So Caitlyn how do you make a clown cry?

I don't know, how do you?" She replied

"You..." Cisco got cut off

"Hey, guys what are you doing." Barry asks

"Well Cisco was telling me a joke, until you rudely interrupted." Caitlyn replied

Barry scoffs," Well I could tell a even better joke."

"Yeah right. Let me see you come up with one. You know what try your best." Cisco replied

"Ok fine I will. What did one traffic light say to the other.Look away I'm changing."

"Wow, Barry that was the best joke ever." Caitlyn laughed

"Really?" He asked

"Barry sometimes your just so guliable."

"Well did I win." He replied

"I guess you win." She scoffed

Barry was grateful for that. But after a couple minitues of silence he relized why he was there. "Oh right" he thought
He was here to ask Caitlyn out on their first offical date. Their first date didn't go as planned. So he was gonna ask her out.

"Hey Caitlyn." He said while she was typing on her computer

"Yeah?" She asked

"Would you like to go out tonight?" He replied

"I would love to! What time?" Caitlyn asked

"7:30ish if that's ok? I guess I'll see you tonight then." He ran back to CCPD smiling.

Caitlyn continued to work on her computer. While she was doing that Cisco was daydreaming about his and Iris's date from last night. He should call her today and see what shes up to. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and walked away to the other room. He dialled her number and waited to see if she would pick up. After a couple rings she finally answered.

''Hey Iris how are you.''

"I'm good. How about you?" She replied

"I'm really great actually. I was wondering if you would be up for some coffee this afternoon." He asked

"Well let me check my schedule. Yep, I'm free."

" I'll see you later then. Okay bye" He said ending the call

~Later that night~

Caitlyn was at her house getting ready for her date woth Barry. She only had a couple minitues to spare. Before he arrived here. Knowing him he would be here sooner. And at that note she heard her doorbell ring. She panicked for a split second. She slipped her heels on and grabbed her clutch. She walked down the stairs and ran to the door. She opened the door to see a handsome looking Barry Allen. He looked really well dressed. All her fears went away when she saw him.

"Are you ready." He asked

"Yes." She replied

Before walking  her to the car he gave her a quick peck on the lips. She smiled. He took her hand and guided her to the passengers side. He opened the door for her and closed it. He got in the driver's side and backed out of the drive way.  it was a really quite drive on the way there. They never spoke once. Barry glanced at Caitlyn every few minitues or so. When they finally arrived they got out of the car. Caitlyn was about to close her door when Barry walked over to her and kissed her. The kiss didn't last very long since they were about to walk in. Caitlyn shut her door and laced her fingers with Barry's as they walked to the door.

~Caitlyn's Pov~

The resteraunt looked really nice. Like expensive it felt weird. When we walked in the waiter guided us to a table for two. Our table was private too. Barry pulled a chair out for me and I sat down. He walked over to his chair to sit down. As we waited for their waiter to come back we looked at the menus. Some of the food here was really expensive. Barry must of saw me staring at the menu intensively.

"Caitlyn sweetie don't look at the prices." He looked up from his menu and smiled at me.

I wasn't sure what to order, maybe just some spaghetti.

"Barry I'm not sure what to order. I mean everything is so exspensive." I said with a worried look in my eye.

"Hey don't worry I'm gonna pay for it." He replied

After a couple of minitues I finally decided on the spaghetti. It was the only thing that seemed good to me right now. We waited for the waiter to come back over here and when she did she asked,"What would you two like to eat on this fine evening."

"Lady's first." Barry replied

I rolled my eyes at him. "I would like the spaghetti."

"And to drink."

"Umm I guess red whine." I said

"For you sir." She replied

"I would like the steak with red wine as well." He replied politely

After the waiter left Barry said,"I love you Cait."

"I love you too." I said sweetly

I reached across the table and connected our lips. It was a little awkward since some people were staring. But, we didn't care. After the kiss ended we talked about little things. Like how was work and how was your day. Stuff like that. In the middle of us laughing are heads off we heard a gun shot go off. It scared the he'll out of me. People around us started screaming. Barry and I stayed silent. Out of know where we see a portal open up and out comes Vortex...Shit I swear we defeated him. Why The hell was he here. Barry ran out to change into his suit. While everyone else was distracted by Vortex glowing particals around him. When Barry got back everyone was relieved, since The Flash was here.

"So Flash we meet again. Next time someone will get killed." He said laughing

And with that he was gone. Poof he dissapeared out of the resteraunt. People looked around really confused. Besides Barry and I we knew what was happening.
