18 - Light

The look on Abby's face was priceless "Wait what?"

"That it would be weird to date someone if I saw them as a brother." I repeated and looked over to Windham who was listening with a soft smile "She might as well just know by now, don't you think?"

Windham stood up with a nod as I walked over to him and pressed a kiss to my forehead before he embraced me. "I was thinking the same thing actually. How was the situation out there by the way? Did anyone bother you?"

"Surprisingly no, most of them actually apologized..." I started as I looked at him but I got interrupted.

"Wait? You two are already together?" Abby looked between the both of us "When did that happen?"

"Last week."

"What? Why didn't you guys say anything. I thought you were mad at each other. I was worried about you two."

"Sorry Abbs." I went over to hug her "Before you found me last week my sister had already done that as well. She had said something about me having started something and I wanted to see what she was talking about before letting them know they had been right about us the whole time."

"The whole time?" Abby frowned.

"Since John Layfield brought it up in my second week" I admitted with a shrug. "I just didn't realize it yet."

"Okay you are telling me everything, we are having a girls' night again." Abby said and left no room for argument.

"Wait, but we want to know stuff too." Adam brought in, followed by Joseph who also decided to give us his opinion "Not that we aren't happy for you both but yeah, we kind of want to know how this all happened."

"Guys calm down, don't overload them with questions. That's probably another reason why they didn't tell right away." Jon turned out to be their voice of reason "Let's just focus on the plan for tonight."

"I believe I have a match." I smiled, glad that Jon changed the subject.

"And I am supposed to be on commentary for it." Windham nodded.

"But you never do commentary." Abby frowned "Why now."

"Probably to show how Harmony would be changing me." Windham guessed and I was pretty sure he was right.

Windham Pov,

I walked out to the ring at Harmony's side. When we got there, she got inside the ring and I walked around it to go sit at commentary.

Like expected, they were surprised to see me there.

"Apparently we have Bray Wyatt joining us at commentary."

I sat down without saying much, just focusing on Harmony's match as it started.

I enjoyed watching her fight, she was good at it. She felt at ease in the ring and you could see it. She seemed to radiate invincibility and you knew in a glance that she was willing to take risks.

"I don't like this at all, now they join commentary because of this witch?" John started. His tone missed the underlying sharp edge it usually had however, you wouldn't notice it as a fan but I could understand from this slight change that he was just doing his job this time around.

"Do not label something you do not understand." I warned him in a calm, even voice. "Do you not see the light she radiates?"

"Care to elaborate?" Michael asked calmly, not paying attention to his colleague's way of speaking

"You label us because you are educated by this system that convinces you on how people like me are crazy." I kept speaking calmly. "But she didn't. She looked out for us, had our backs without needing something in return. That level of fairness, of not judging the people around her at first glance. That, is the light inside of her. She is the light in the darkness of this world, the light that this world needs in order to fix itself."

"She isn't light, she's darkness."

"People like you are the real darkness, the real evil. Close minded, judgmental, prejudiced people like you are the real sickness in this world." I got up as I watched Harmony put an end to the match, not with her own move but by using the Sister Abigail "Not even the sun can hold a candle to the light she possesses."

Harmony got out of the ring and held out her hand to me. I took it gently and led her backstage.

Once there she looked at me "Did everything go well on commentary?"

"I think so. Nice call to use the Sister Abigail by the way."

"Thanks, I heard a few of the things you said so I figured it would be a nice touch if I added it to my move set."

I smiled at her "It was, and you delivered it beautifully."

Harmony Pov,

It took some convincing but I finally managed to get all the members of the Wyatt family to join me in catering.

I figured that if things were really changing, the least we could be doing is try to interact with our colleagues at least a little bit.

Of course, everyone turned quiet when we all walked in but that only lasted a minute as I broke the silence myself

"Mind if we all join you guys?"

A few people started to smile and someone called out "Course not."

Jon and Joseph were quickly pulled into a conversation by a Leati and Colby, Adam went to get some food and Abby sat down with a few of the girls.

"You truly are a light." Windham told me as he looked around. "See just how much you have changed this place."

"I got angry and shouted without thinking, I'm not that special." I shrugged "But thanks."

"Come, let's go sit down." Windham gently pulled me with him to a table. I was glad he seemed so at ease among our colleagues now, guess I had at least changed that for him.

I hope the name changes aren't confusing to you guys but in case they are, let me explain. I wanted to show the change of everyone acting more like themselves by using their actual names instead of the ring names.

That does come with challenges though as Jonathan 'Jon' Huber (Rip), who was Luke Harper and Jonathan Good, who was Dean Ambrose, both have the same name. In this story Jon will be the name I use for Luke Harper and Jonathan will be the name for Dean Ambrose.

Adam is Braun Strowman and Joseph is Erick Rowan. If any other name isn't clear then please let me know.

Now if you think this was how this story ends then you are wrong. Things might be changing backstage but that doesn't mean life is done throwing challenges at Harmony just yet. Believe me, everything is about to hit the fan.
