chapter 18

hajime pov:

"hiyoko was poisoned, that is the cause of death. after inspecting all the rooms, sonia has cinnamon in her room. which is offen used for covering up the smell of poison. so the prime suspect at the moment is sonia. as she doesn't have an alibi. so i ask this sonia nevermind the ultimate princess, are you the killer?"

"no no i swear i didnt do anything! i'm being framed please believe me!"

"puhuhuhu, at this point the killer has normally confessed to their crimes but sonia is obviously not confessing! so i will give you something to help you reach a conclusion."
a board then lowered from the classtrial ground ceiling and showed some camera footage. it was a figure giving hiyoko a drink she called "cinnamon tea". the figure was also wearing a dress, indicating it was a most likely a female, as i have never seen any of my male classmates wear a skirt before. the figure also claimed to be sonia and the voices matched.
"m-m-miss s-sonia p-please say it wasn't you p-p-please. i can't lose y-you" kazuichi pleaded in between sobs. gundham went over to comfort him and glared at sonia.
"why mortal sonia, why must you bring pain upon your partners and friends?!"

"i didn't do it i swear i swear!"

"it's voting time! please. cast your votes! will you make the right choice or the dreadfully wrong one?"

i put my vote in as sonia and looked over at akane and chiaki who were bawling their eyes out.

"correct!!! the blackened of the second trial is none other than sonia nevermind!!!"

"b-but i didn't kill her I DIDNT KILL HER!"

"and akane and chiaki, voting yourselves is not a very wise choice! if more people did that you would all be dead! now sonia it's time for your punishment!!!"

"NO I DIDNT DO ANYTHING WHY AM I GETTING PUNISHED?!"

"iiiiiitttttsss punishment time!" shouts and screams were heard from chiaki and akane.

"I LOVE YOU! PLEASE NO PLEASE IM INNOCENT YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME!"

she then got separated from us for her punishment. she was put in a cardboard castle as small cardboard people all cheered for her. a smile crept up on her face as she got everything she wanted. catapults were launched by monokuma in a king outfit. all the cardboard people died and monokuma set the castle on fire, burning sonia with it. her burnt corpse layer on a pile of ashes from the burnt cardboard. many sobs were heard from her friends and partners. her body was then sucked by the floor and two necklaces took her place. two necklaces made from her corpse. monokuma came over and gave his speech about what a great execution it was as he waved the necklaces in chiaki and akanes faces, as they sobbed over the loss of their girlfriend.

~timeskip to when they're all in their cottages~

kazuichi pov:

i was laying in bed, cuddling gundham as i lost my best friend. she was suffering the loss of her friends she wasn't thinking straight. this whole thing is so unfair. i need to fiddle with something. i need to just do something. i need to tinker, and i know the perfect machine to tinker with...

i get up from a sleeping gundham and grab my comfort object, a wrench. i then go outside and shout for monokuma. he then appears and i look at him and start to drool.

"hey can i take you apart, pretty please!"

"no why would you say that to me you bastard and why the fuck are you drooling?"

"i haven't tinkered in 6 weeks because monomi and you don't let me have anything good." i pout "i promise i won't mess you up please i need 5 minutes!" i then start to walk over to him as he shouts threats of a punishment at me. i don't care, at this point i would kill to tinker with something. not literally but i would do almost anything.

"right you crazy boy! get the fuck away from me!" i then see smoke and black out. i wake up and am really cold.

"why am i so cold."

"now consider yourself lucky! as you are my favourite student the punishment isn't so harsh. wear this for 72 hours or be executed! don't try and tinker with me again!" he then disappears. wear this for 72 hours, what am i wearing? i look down and see black and white and a skirt, i then realise what it is...

it's a maid dress.

gundham pov:

i see kazuichi walk back into our shared cottage and i look at him with sleepy eyes
"my paramour, why must you go out so late?" i then see his face flush red. i then realise what he is wearing and my face is also red.
"why are you wearing such a... thing, kazuichi?"

"i wanted to tinker with monokuma but he put me in this since 'i'm one of this favourite students' as punishment for 72 hours." he stuttered out unable to look me in the eye.

"are you insane my love? you could've been killed!" i calm down a bit. it's not like i don't enjoy this predicament at least a little. "i suppose this punishment is suitable, get in i want to go back to sleep."

"a-ah o-ok.." kazuichi then makes his way to the bed and slowly slides in. "hey i know this is sorta weird so i'm sorry. i just really wanted to tinker with something! my fingers are all tingly and i miss the smell of fresh oil."

"i understand my love but it is truly alright, this experience gives me more embarrassing things to tease you about in the future." i then start laughing. kazuichi bops me on the nose and says goodnight, as do i as we both fall asleep.
