"Dude that things been busted for years." Amethyst said stuffing her mouth with chaaaps. "It's not going to turn on." Just like that it was on. "See it works. I wonder what I can do on it..." Amethyst looked at the screen. "Download some games or something. Maybe join a chatroom." Amethyst left out the house leaving Steven to the magic world of the inter web. "Let's see...what's.. TubeTube Music?"
*An Hour later*
"That was an adorable cat. That was weird that one video sent me to a old music video of dad. Oh well." He kept scrolling through until he came across an app called "LetsBeFriends". "What is that?" Steven clinked it and downloaded it. "Oh! Ok. I get it." He clicked a random room which was titled 'Cartoons' and joined a chat. "Is my Mic on?" He waved in front of the camera. "Hello." A very loud voice was heard screaming from the other side "I told you! This time it's not a 40 year old man!" The girl yelled. "Hi! I'm Mabel!" Steven waved. "I'm Steven. So what Cartoons do you watch?" He asked. "Oh My favorite shoe to watch is Ducktective! It's about a Duck Detective who has to solve mysteries. It's awesome! Once there was a guy that stole bread and replace it for sourdough bread! It looked sick!" Mabel went on about the episode and then the show then onto the lore. Steven continued sitting there not wanting to be rude and asking her to stop. "So what do you watch?" Mabel asked finally finishing her speech. "Oh I like a lot of shows. My all time favorite has to be Crying Breakfast Friends. It's about these cute breakfast items who cry!" Mabel looked at him concerned for a minute "you like to watch a show about cute things crying?" She asked. Steven nodded. "Cool!" She said. "What's your family like? Mine is pretty weird but hey it's great! My nerdy brother Dipper is over there and then there's Grunkle Stan he's a little mean and steals things but he's a great guy. My dad says his job is boring so I don't know what he does besides something with computers and my mom works at a library. She's really nice though and makes sure Dipper and I don't kill ourselves by doing stupid things. What's your mom like?" Steven froze a moment and looked at the portrait of his mother. He clutched onto his shirt where his gem was. "My mom isn't here with us.." He said quietly. "Oh Is she on a business's trip! Is she a spy! Oh I bet she has cool gear!" Mabel exclaimed. "No not like that I mean she isn't here." Steven tried his best explaining until someone else was heard. "Mabel who are you talking to- You asked him about his family? Well what'd he say?" Steven watched the other boy speak with Mabel then freak out when the mom thing was brought up. "Mabel that's not what he meant! He mean she's dea-" "Who is this?" Steven asked. "Oh this is my dorky brother I told you about, Dipper! Dipper this is Steven!" Steven waved politely. "Hello." He said. Dipper waved back. "Hi. Ur sorry about my sister. She had raw sugar packets." They kept chatting for a while until Steven heard the warp pad. "Oh I gotta go! The gems are back!" "Wait let me friend you!" Mabel said. Steven sat in his seat patiently. "And accept. Talk to you later. Bye!" Steven said. The twins waved goodbye and like that the chat room had ended.
(Dipper and Mabels POV)
"Well I'm surprised the one boy you managed to not scare away." Dipper said. "Oh I don't scare them they simply can't handle me." Mabel responded spinning in the chair. "I have a feeling this ones a keeper!" Dipper rolled his eyes and went to his bed. "That's what you said about every other guy." "Hey you don't see me making fun of you listening to Doll Pop Shine!" Dipper groaned annoyed. "That was a phase, Mabel I'm over it now." Mabel nodded. "Sure you are. Well I'm going to sleep. Good night!" Soon they both fell asleep. Though Dipper thought to himself "There's something odd about Steven." He shrugged it off an finally fell asleep.
