After my date with Will, I spend my long days sitting by my chair staring at the moon or reading. The days passed and passed and it felt like forever. I caught myself thinking about those three kings. About Hugo's playful side being masked by his constant need to think about the rules, Trevor's funny side masked by his constant need to be the scariest and most intimidating in the room. Lastly Will, the guy whom secretly didn't believe he deserved to be loved. The guy whom was so serious about everything he did and yet didn't want to be taken seriously at all. If I had been told merely months ago, that I would be sitting here staring at the moon, thinking romantically about the three Kings of Locatlie, I would have thought you were crazy.
After probably two weeks, my hope in a future with the kings had been given up. In my mind I had already thought of what my plan for finding out who I am and whom my family was, would be.
I lay in bed when the door opened and Lea came in with two racks of clothing. I sat up rubbing my eyes, as I had fallen asleep. "What are you doing here?" I asked yawning looking at her.
"O, you have no idea what kind of two weeks I've just had." She said her eyes wide. "After the one-on-one dates, the brothers. They're crazy Julia. Sit down." She demanded.
"What?" I replied. "Let me shower first. It's been a week or so." I stated and she looked at me amused.
"You go ahead, we'll set up." She stated and I nodded as I then went to the bathroom and turned the shower on. What the heck was going on? Was I still in the running? What had happened.
After taking a quick shower, I dried myself off and put on a robe as I went back to my main room.
"Sit." Lea stated and I looked at her amused and I nodded. "So, after the private date situation two weeks ago yeah?" She said and I nodded again. "The brothers were supposed to vote on whom would go through and whom wouldn't. Well, that didn't go as planned." She said shaking her head as they started working on my hair. Lea sat down in front of me, moving my chair, and handed me some tea. "No. My idiotic brothers were done with the Process, all having an idea of whom they wanted and they were not to be convinced of anything else. Well Hugo did obviously, you know how Hugo is, but Trevor and his stubborn head, said he wouldn't go an anymore dates unless his voice was heard or something. Threw a Class-a teenager Trevor temper tantrum. It took all my fathers to calm him down and we were called in, along with our aunts, for an emergency meeting." my heart was beating out of my chest as I heard this. "And apparently Trevor had his mind made up about one girl and he didn't want to pursue anyone else. Hugo had stated that he also felt right about one girl, and William still was debating between two girls. But in the handbook of the Process, the 21st book of Seglusa." She said her eyes wide. "The Process is supposed to be at least five weeks. There is supposed to be at least a couple of mandatory hours with the girls before the decision is made, as this is the Queen of Locatlie we're talking about. I mean genuinely those fucking idiots." She said shaking her head a bit. "That was the first problem by the way. The fact that they wanted to cancel the whole Process, which my aunts have been working on for a full year. Planning out every date, planning security for everything. Making sure everything was planned to the tee." She then stood up "Her hair should be in a braid, he likes that." She stated casually. "Well like I said, when Trevor gets something in his head, he isn't going to change his mind at all." She said "So they asked him what he wanted to do. He said that he wanted the Process Committee to listen to him and his brothers instead of following a handbook that's at last 400 years old. Well, you can imagine how that went." she said laughing shaking her head. "So, my sister Wendy, smart bitch she is, stated that the brothers could write down the names of the girls they really liked and we could continue the process with those girls. Trevor stated that if that would happen, that he might be open to another girl and that he'd be polite on other dates, but that his mind was made up yeah."
