King Lucas P.O.V
Life was meaningless without her. Every day when I would wake up, I would reach out my arm, hoping that it had all been a horrid dream. Every day I would be disappointed by my hope. Every day started with a gut-wrenching pain through my body. I would never see her smile again, I would never hear her laugh, I would never see those darned green eyes looking directly through my soul. I would never get to hold her one more time. I would never get to tell her I loved her, tell her that she was my whole entire world, that she was my reason for breathing. The only purpose I had in life anymore was revenge. Revenge for those tattooed fucks that raped and killed my wife. That made my wife live in pure fear for her last minutes.
But not today.
Today was a very important day, today was the first of probably many days of discussion. I could still remember the nerves I felt when I myself had to discuss with my brothers and fathers about whom we were to marry. My heart had been in my stomach, because even then there was only one woman for me. It was her. My whole purpose in life had been her.
But today, we would start discussing the two potentials for my sons. My sons would have to make the most important decision in their lives. If they made the wrong choice, they would have to live with that choice until the day they or their wife died.
I got out of bed and took a long cold shower before I put on a pair of simple black pants and a comfortable sweater. It was going to be long; it had taken us two weeks to even come to a consensus about the continuity of the Process. But then again both Hugo and Trevor were too much like their mother and I, they were too stubborn to give in. Hugo obviously wanted the same as Simon; the best for the country and all that boring crap. But Trevor, not only did he remind me of myself with the way he carried himself and the way he looked, he had gotten his heart stolen by a mouthy little bird.
I grabbed some apples, put them in a bag, and walked towards the car. These meetings would take place in the Town Hall. I was driven there and when I arrived, I walked up the stairs. Some of my sisters and daughters whom had arrived at the same time, all stopped what they were doing, bowed their head towards me in fear, and let me go first. I walked into the meeting room where everyone was talking to one another, but my boys weren't here just yet. I walked up towards myself in a wig, Natalie, whom was talking to her eldest sister, whom was basically a mini version of Simon in terms of looks, Lea.
"Hey dove" I said giving Natalie a kiss on her temple. "How are you?" I asked, putting my hand on her back.
"Twitchy and I want to get this shit over with" She said with the biggest smile ever, her mother's smile. I nodded looking at her. "Want to get back to Gotar. Yordi couldn't stay here forever as we aren't married because those fuckers had to kill mum before you could give permission" I smiled at that. She had met a great guy named Yordi, whom worked in the lower levels of Gotar. They had fallen in love two years ago and the night that Yordi wanted to formally ask the permission of the kings for my daughters' hand in marriage, those tattooed fuckers killed Patricia. Any female of the Locatlie line, had to ask and get the permission of the three kings and their wife, to get married. As our sons weren't married to the queen yet, Natalie couldn't' get married. This also meant that Yordi couldn't be here on all the formal occasions. Her brothers, whom were all obsessed with her, allowed him to be at the opening day, but he wouldn't be allowed here.
"what about you Lily?" I asked Lea whom smiled.
"Same thing. I just hope they have thought this through and it won't be the shit show it was last time" She said and I giggled at that. "But then again Hugo has father's stubbornness, and Trevor is well you" She said and I laughed very loudly at that and nodded. "Sometimes I think that Will is the only normal one out of those three"
