They had only been on the road for minuit. Just enough time for ted to zone out. The road wasn't anything special. It was the fact that they left town without telling anyone. Along with the fact they were driving in Conner's dad's car. That's what ted eas thinking. He turned and looked out the window. It wad almost too dark to see the tree's that zoomed passed them.
"I think we should turn back around and go without being fancy." Ted said. Sarah looked at him suprised.
"Are you crazy? If you go in there is a hoodie and jeans you'll look like a bum. Abd I for one wont let that happen to you!" Sarah said. Conner tunerd in his seat. He was in the passenger seat. It was his dad's car but tyler had to drive because he was the only one with a driver's license.
"Yeah, look what we ordered for you!" Conner said. He showed him his phone. Ted looked at it it. It was an all white tuxedo. Sarah looked at ted.
"That's amazing." She said. Ted just nodded in agreement. But something cought his eye. He took the phone out of conners hand and zoomed in on the picture.
"Look at the price you dummy!" Ted said pointing at the phone. Sarah and conner looked closer at the phone.
"What's he talking about?" Tyler asked from the drivers seat.
"He's talking about the price of the tux." Conner confirmed. Then he looked back at the phone. But once he seen the price he changed his tune.
"There right man. Look dude." Conner said holding it out for tyler to see.
"Let's just go back. Its dark and Prom starts in like, an hour." Ted said looking down at his watch.
"Ted just stop trying to turn around. I've got a hundred dollers in my pocket right now. I'll pay." Tyler said. Ted put his head up against the window. Sarah took teds phone which still had the order pulled up. She gave it to conner so he could show tyler the whole price. But once he did tyler lost it.
"You have us out her driving in the dark for no reason when we could be having the hest time of our young lives because you didn't want to see the price before we left. your idiot!" Tyler yelled.
"Well we did...just it was three minutes ago." Conner said. This made sarah and ted laugh quietly in the back seat knowing what was about to happen.
"Oh you!" Tyler yelled and went to grab conner letting go of the wheel. Sarah and ted seen this was now getting serious. Ted sat up and grabbed Tyler pulling him off of conner.
"What are you doing tyler! Get back in your seat and get your hands on the wheel!" Sarah yelled at him. Tyler did what she said and looked forward.
"Deer!" Conner called when things were almost calmed down. Tyler tryed to swerve out of the way but couldn't. They hit the deer. The impact causing ted and sarah to hit the back of the front seats. Once everyone came too and realized what happened they all got out of the car.
"Oh my god...what-!" Conner started to say.
"Calm down. It's ok. We'll be ok." Sarah said. Conner turned to tyler who was the last to crawl out of the wrecked the car. He ran at him and pushed him to the ground.
"What are you doing!" Sarah screamed. Ted and sarah ran iver to conner who was now yelling at tyler. Tyler had stood up and held his fist up.
"What am I going to tell my dad now!" Conner was yelling.
"Dude calm down. I'll take the blame and pay for it. We'll be fine." Tyler said trying to reason with conner. Sarah and ted made it to the two fighting kids.
"If it wasn't for him we wouldn't even be in this situation!" Conner yelled pointing at ted.
"Hey we agreed to help him." Sarah yelled at conner.
"Oh yeah? Then you two should go to prom then!" Conner said still yelling. Tyler had heard enough.
"Shut up conner!" Tyler yelled at him. Them hit conner knocking him over. Tyler got down and pinned him down.
"You need to chill out conner. We'll figure this out later but right now we need to get going." Tyler said. He stood up and helped conner up. Ted just look at each other.
"Ok well that happened." Ted said. They both laughed. They all walked back to the wrecked car. It defiantly had a destroyed front. It was totalled.
"Are we even going to try to drive that? It doesn't seem safe at all to be in." Sarah said. Ted walked up to the car and got in the drivers seat. The inside was no better than the outside. Airbags were blown out all over the place. He got back out and looked at everyone.
"This is defiantly not starting up." Ted said. They all looked at each other waiting for an idea to happen.
"Ima ask if no one else will. What are we going to do now?" Conner and sarah shrugged their shoulders.
"Guess were going to have to walk." Conner said glaring at tyler. Tyler rolled his eyes and took off down the street. Ted and sarah followed after him. Conner took a look at the car. He pulled out his phone which was cracked now thanks to the crash. He opened it and took a picture of the car and ran after the rest of the kids. The walk wasn't all that bad. Ted couldn't shake the thought that it was all his fault. That He was the cause. He looked at his watch. It too was cracked but he could still see the time. Prom was still going on and had three hours left. He looked at everyone. They all seemed to be consumed by there own thoughts. He wandered if they all blamed him for the car.
"Why are we going this way?" Ted said. They all looked at him. Tyler shook his head. He was teds best friend but he knew he had to tell him what he was thinking. But he didn't get his chance because sarah saw something.
"Look! Its a sign" she said. They all looked. Shure enough down the street was a sign lighting up. Tyler looked closer.
"Fancy pants suits and tuxidos." He read. They all looked at each other and shrugged.
"Mind as well right?" He said. They all nodded.
