Cover Blown

Ted knew when he woke up this morning that it would be a long day. And an even longer night. After last night's talk with sarah he decides that he would edmit to himself that he indeed did like brooklyn. But he still didn't want to go to prom. Ted got dressed and walked out of his house and braced himself for the day ahead. As he walked his phone buzzed. He grabbed it and looked at it. It was a text from conner.
"Hurry up! Where are you at?" It read. He checked the clock. Why were they at the tree already? Ten wasn't starting for another half hour. He started to jog in case it was something important. As he was running his phone was buzzing almost the whole time. When he finally made it to the tree everyone was looking at him.
"What? We still got like fifteen minutes before school starts." Ted said. They all rolled there eyes and looked back at him. He was getting nervous.
"What?" He asked genualy confused. Tyler held up the note that he gave to sarah the night before.
"How did you get-" Ted started but cut himself off looking at sarah. Then glared at her.
"Hey don't look at me like that. You never said I couldn't show them." Sarah said. Ted continued to glare at her.
"So ted, whatcha doing tonight." Tyler said hopping down from the branch he was sitting on.
"I'm still staying home." Ted said. He heard the school bell and started walking off. Conner, tyler, and sarah followed. Then conner got in front of ted.
"Dude sarah told us everything. Just go to prom with the rest of us." Conner said.
"I'm not even with brooklyn. Did you forget that? So I'm not going." Ted said opening his locker. He grabbed a binder and walked off down the hallway.
"I don't care what he says were getting him and brooklyn at prom tonight." Conner said. He loomed around at the everyone. They all looked at him confused.
"We all want them. It's the best day and almost his last day with us. Am I wrong?" Conner said. They all looked at each other.
"Definitely. We been waiting forever for ted to do this." Sarah said.
"Let's go find brooklyn! Does anyone know what class she's in?" Tyler said.
"Yeah, I have second class with her. I'll talk to her then." Sarah said. With that they all took off into separate ways going to their classes. Ted was in his class trying to focus on ms. Robinson but couldn't. The thought of prom was ringing through his head. Then his phone buzzed. He looked around and saw the teacher was at her desk working. He turned to the kid beside him.
"Hey lex, think you can keep watch while I check my phone please." He asked. She nodded her head. With that he pulled out his phone and looked down at the text. It was from sarah. He read it. All it said was that brooklyn said yes. He didn't know what it meant but he guessed it couldn't be good. With the thoughts if prom and now sarah and brooklyn talking about it it was almost impossible for ted to do any work. He just sat their thinking. Zoned out. Then the bell rang.
"Ok class you can leave and make sure to complete your maths practice for tonight's homework. See you tomorrow. Ted I would like to see you after class." Ms. Robinson said. Ted had a good idea what this could be about. After everyone left the room ted got up from his desk and went up to his teachers desk at the front of the room. He just stood their waiting for her to say something.
"Ok, ted how are you? You seem to be out of it these last couple days." She said. Ted shrugged.
"I don't know just a lot on my mind." Ted replied.
"Yeah. I understand. Graduation and all. It can be a lot. Just hang in there and keep a good mindset." Ms. Robinson said. Ted nodded and waved goodbye to his teacher as he walked out.
"Wait!" She said right before ted left the classroom. He turned around confused.
"Make shure to keep your phone in your pocket during class from now on." She said. Ted nodded abd rolled his eyes and walked out the classroom. He walked down the hallway and was about to go to gis second class but was stopped by conner. He turned ted around.
"Dude, she said yes! Your still coming right?" Conner said. Tyler walked over.
"Let him go conner. I'll get him up to speed." Tyler said.
"What are you talking about?" Ted asked confused. Tyler went to say something but was cut off by the bell. Conner grabbed ted and pulled him into there classroom. Tyler took off running down the hallway hoping he wouldn't be late.
"Why are you guys acting so stupid." Ted said. Conner sat down next to him.
"It's just that ever sense we known you, you never wanted to date. When Sarah told us that you liked brooklyn we wanted to make this work for you know what I mean?" Conner said. Before ted could answer the teacher started class. The class wasn't anything different from the rest of the classes he just zoned out. That was untill conner passed ted a note. Ted grabbed it and read it. It was only one question.
"Are you going to prom now that brooklyn said she would." He read. He quickly looked up at conner panic spread across his face. He wrote something down and passed it back to conner.
"Kinda have to now. I hate you guys sometimes." Conner read. He thought for a second then looked up at ted and mouthed the words, watch out for me. Ted nodded. Conner pulled out his phone and texted sarah and tyler letting them know that ted was going to prom. The rest of the day went by like every other day only everytime he would pass one of his friends they would flash him a thumbs up and a goofy smile. After their last class they all met in the hallways and walked to the tree together to chill Before they went home for the night.
"So you actually going to show?" Tyler asked. Ted nodded his head.
"Yeah I just need to get everything I need." Ted said.
"That's going to be hard. All of the stores have been picked clean" sarah said.
"Maybe but this website says it has stuff." Tyler said looking down at his phone. Ted ran over to see what he was looking at.
"But it's in the next town over." Ted said.
"So? Let's go!" Sarah said. They all looked at each other.
"It's almost dark. We cant go. We'll never make it proms tonight." Ted said. Everyone nodded in agreement looking at Sarah.
"So we got to go right now! Lets give it a shot." Sarah said. They all looked at ted. He nodded his head. 
"But how?" Ted asked. Conner looked at everyone.
"I have a car we can use." He said.
"Then lets go. What are we waiting for." Sarah said.
