Chapter 5- Secrets

After the movie we all got into the car, I gave Aisha the front seat, and I sat in the middle of Demetri and Eli. We decided to go to Chick-fil-a, it was cramped in the back so we were going to go inside. About 3 minutes into the car ride, Eli grabbed my hand again, I looked at him and smiled, we got to the restaurant, and we let go, and headed inside. Ordered our food, and went to find a seat. We sat at a booth, all of the guys sat on one side, and Aisha and I sat on the other side, me and Eli were closest to the window. Miguel was next to him, and Demetri was on the edge. They called our number and Demetri, and Miguel went to get the food.

"OMG, that movie was crazy!" Aisha stated.

"I hate how they just replaced Tony Stark!" I exclaimed.

"What do you mean?" Aisha answered.

"She means, Mysterio, came and got called 'The greatest superhero ever' just by saving the world from a couple Elementals, when he 'failed on his own earth' and Iron Man literally sacrificed himself for the ENTIRE Universe!" Eli stated, he was getting really excited about the movie again, I love this.

"Ohhh yeah that was really dumb, and like how is Spiderman going to get out of that situation like he is literally thought to be a killer, and everyone knows it was peter." Aisha was questioning.

"I don't know, but I'm sure we will find out soon." I stated, the guys returned with our food.

"What are you guys talking about."

"Eli was telling Aisha about Mysterio replacing Tony Stark." I said catching them up.

"That was so dumb," Demetri added, "People just throw him out, after he saved the universe."

We continued to eat and talk, I started to slide my foot across the table, I tapped Eli's. He looked at me and smiled, we started to play footsie, I know its a dumb middle school thing, but it was fun. After a while everyone finished and we left, I sat in the middle again, Eli and Demetri on either side of me, and Aisha in the front with Miguel. Me and Eli held hands again, and we all sang along to songs as we drove around town, I held an invisible microphone in front of me, with the hand that wasn't occupied, and every time I would try and get Demetri to sing, I would softly hit him in the arm. I looked at Eli, and we shared the fake microphone, we were really close to each other. We made it to Demetri's house to drop him off, and I stayed in the middle so they wouldn't see us holding hands, I'm not sure if this is a 'thing' so I don't want to make it a big deal. Miguel changed the station to Rock as soon as Demetri left the car, we all started to bump our heads to the song. As we were on our way to Aisha's house, Eli started to rub his thumb up and down on my hand, it sent butterflies in my stomach, after a while we made it to Aisha's house. She got out, and waved goodbye.

"One of you can hop in the front." Miguel stated.

"No, I'm good, a little too lazy to move." We all laughed.

"Me too." Eli added, I looked at him and smiled.

Miguel turned the music back up, and we rocked out to it. We reached Eli's house and He squeezed my hand before hopping out of the car. I followed, and got in the front seat. I waved goodbye to him, and Miguel pulled away.

"Now you want to sit in the front." Miguel stated, he gave me the side eye and a grin.

"What?" I said, " I felt lonely in the back."

"Oh that's the only reason." He chuckled to himself.

"What?" I was confused.

"I felt you two playing footsies at Chick-fil-a." Miguel stated.

"Oh..." I said I blushed and looked out the window.

"And Demetri told me you were texting before the movie, when we went and got the food." I blushed even harder.

"Well... I-I um." I started

"You like Eli." He sang.

"Maybe I do." I smiled to myself.

"I think he likes you too." Miguel replied, I smiled in response

"Where do you want me to drop you off? With your dad or at the apartment?" Miguel asked, the turn to my apartment was coming up.

"My apartment, I need to talk to my brother." I stated, he turned down the street and pulled into the curb.

"Thanks for the ride, I'll see you at school tomorrow." I was about to get out, when Miguel stopped me.

"If you need a ride to school just text me I'll be here."

"Thanks, I'll let you know." I told him, I left the car, and into the main lobby, I turned around, and he was pulling away.

I decided not to tell Robby I saw dad, and just talk to him, but when I got home he passed out on the couch. It's a one bedroom apartment, and when it was just him he slept in the bed, but is letting me use the bed. I walked past him trying not to wake him up. I get to my room, and get changed into a tank top, and booty shorts. I pull out my crappy laptop, and start to watch something on Netflix. I got a text and it's Aisha, she sent me a picture of the Halloween dance poster, it was a couple says away.

'What are you going to go as?' She texted.

'Hmmm, idk normal I went as a group with my friends at the boarding school, but i have no idea now. What about you?' I replied.

'I already got the shirt with Na on it for the costume with Sam, so I guess that still, although I'm going to look dumb.' She answered.

'Hell no! Your not looking dumb on my watch.'i replied. 'Give me the one Sam was going to wear.'

'Really? Wouldn't you want to go as something sexy, I mean you certainly can pull it off.' She stated

'What's more sexy than girls with brain's' I stated.

'Lmao, yeah we are certainly more sexy than Yasmine' She added a throw up emoji.

'Haha I know right!'

'I think I am going to join Cobra Kai.' Aisha said.

'Maybe I will too, if you do it, we can be badasses together!' I exclaimed.

'I think Eli will join too' Aisha sent a wink emoji with me.

I sent back a blush emoji.

'Is it that obvious' I questioned

'Not to Demetri, but to me yeah.' I giggled.

'And  Miguel' I added

'Really he guessed'

'No after you left he offered one of us the front seat, but we didn't want to because we were holding hand, and after we dropped him off he told me he felt us playing footsies under the table at dinner, and saw us texting before the movie'

'Holy shit, i didn't even know you guys were playing footsies' she sent with a laughing emoji.

'Yeah haha, we held hands at the movies and in the cars and no one noticed.'

'I ship it so much! The shy quiet guy who barely talks, and the outgoing new girl who sings in the car. That's the cutest thing ever.' Aisha replied.

'Yeah yeah' I texted back, I was really excited that she supported this, we haven't known each other for a while, we need to get to know each other, but I'm hoping something will come out of this. 

'We'll I've got to go, text you later' Aisha replied

'Night Cutie' I replied

I went back to watching Netflix, and fell asleep. I got a text 30 minutes later. I picked up my phone and looked at who it was. I couldn't stop myself from smiling. I really do like this boy.
