Chapter 12- Library

    Today was the first day back after Kyler beat Miguel up, I hope he doesn't suspect it was us, because if so we are dead. I got up, throw on some grey sweats, and a black mid length shirt that showed a little of my stomach. I brushed my hair, and some of the natural wave was showing, I put makeup on, more than usual I covered my some blemishes, and my eye bags. I put perfume and deodorant on, before brushing my teeth. I skipped breakfast, but started a pot of coffee, enough for me and my brother. I looked over to were he was sleeping on the couch, he was still in jeans and shoes, and half of his body was hanging of off the bed. I knew why he was partying all night last night, he was mad at me. He has been out all day, and doesn't get back until late, he isn't returning my text's he always answers my calls, just in case something bad is happening, but he hang up as soon as I try and talk to him about Dad. I hate how he is going down this rabbit hole because of me. I checked the time after I poured myself a cup of coffee in my portable cup, Miguel wasn't going to get here for another 5 min. So got out Advil and water, and set it next to Robby. I pulled out a piece of paper, and wrote a not for him. 

Take this Advil it will help with whatever you did last night. I made some coffee too that with help. We need to talk today please, I'll be getting home at 5. I love you Big Bro - <3 Lil sis 

   I heard my phone buzz on the counter, I walked over and looked at it. 

   'I'm out front.' -Miguel 

   'Onw!' -y/n

   I grabbed my bag and key's and headed out the door, I walked down the stairs, and through the lobby. I walked out to see Miguel in his car bopping his head to a song, I hopped in and heard it was a rat song. I loved it, he was becoming a mini version of my dad, only not so drunk.

    "Hey y/n." Miguel said with a warm smile 

    "Hey Miggy!" I exclaimed, "Have you made progress with your mom and my dad?

   "My mom is opening up to the idea, thanks to my yaya, but I haven't made any progress with your dad." He explained. 

   "Maybe if we tell him that he is gaining 3 more students he will think about it." I exclaimed. 

   "Wait three more?!?" He was shocked, "I thought Eli was the only one going to join!" 

   "Me and Aisha thought it would be cool to join!" I exclaimed. 

   "Sensei is going to be so happy!" He stated, we pulled into the parking lot, got out as headed to the library. 

   "Hopefully he reconsiders!" I said.

We made our way to the Library, where we found Eli and Demetri, Aisha wasn't here yet. I took a seat next to Eli, and Miguel sat next to Demetri.

"So no more karate?" Demetri asked.

"Yeah i guess so." He said kind of sad.

"It's for the best, you guys started to get a boost of confidence." Demetri said, he just finished writing something in his notebook.

"Isn't that a good thing? Miguel asked.

"What has confidence ever got anyone anything other than a black eye?" Demetri said.

"Uhhh it's going to get Miggy a dat-" I started but was cut off by Demetri.

"Nothing!" Demetri stated.

"I think it was kind of cool how Miguel stood up to Kyler." Miguel said.

"Let me ask you, what is the best superpower to have?" Demetri tried to reason.

"Super strength!" "Flying!" Miguel and I exclaimed.

"Wrong, it's invisibility . A close second would be super speed to run away faster."

"Who are we running away from?" Kyler said slamming his hands down on the table.

"Oh it's whom, remember in English-" His friend starts, he gets him and I don't care to look, and he shut up.

"No one we were just leaving," Miguel said, grabbing his things, just then Kyler grabbed onto Eli.

"Ugh look at this freak who would ever kiss this!" He exclaimed making him and all his friends laugh, I was so made.

"I'm sure plenty of girls would rather kiss Eli than you, with your skunk mouth." I said.

He let go of Eli and came over to me. I pushed past him and tried to follow everyone out, Eli had grabbed my hand and was pulling me away, I felt someone grab my hand. I'm pulled away from Eli.

"What did you say Bitch!" He spat at me. His hands were on my upper arms.

"Let go of my Kyler!" I exclaimed. I squirmed trying to get out of his grip.

He grabbed me and forced a kiss, I bit his lip, and stomped on his foot, and his grip broke, I got out and left the library to find Eli was waiting for me by the door. I looked back to see Demetri with a yogurt covered backpack.

I was fed up with this, I'm definitely going to join Cobra Kai, I'm sick of getting picked on. Miguel invited us over to his house after school, I was going to get my dad to open up again, whatever it takes.

School ended, and I left my boring class to try and find my friends. I saw them all under a tree in the front of the school. We had caught Aisha up on what happened at lunch. We all piled into Miguel's car, Eli grabbed my hand, I hadn't realized how mad I was, my hand was in a fist. As soon as Eli grabbed my hand, I was less angry, this man was amazing. We pulled up to Miguel's apartment complex, Demetri, decided to walk home, so he wasn't here. Instead of going to Miguel's I walked right up to my dad's door. I knocked on it, no answer, I knocked again, and heard someone getting up. He opened the door, and was shocked at who was at his door. Miguel and I were up front, Aisha was behind me, and Eli behind Miguel.

"Y/n what are you doing here?" He asked.

"You need to re-open Cobra Kai!" I exclaimed.

He just took a few steps back, and into his house, he went and sat on the couch we followed.

"I'm sorry, I'm not going to open it again, all it did was get Miguel hurt."

"But dad, He is okay! And we need you!" I gestured to all of us.

"Why do you need me? You're not a loser. Are you?" He exclaimed.

"Dad!" I exclaimed, "It doesn't matter!"

"You'll be fine, just don't be dorks." He stated.

"Sensei, that doesn't matter, y/n isn't even a dork! All she does is stand up for us, that's why Kyler k-" He trailed off at the end, when I gave him the 'Shut up' look.

"What happened?" My dad said.

"He just called me names too." I said, "Please dad!"

"Stop lying." He said, "Miguel what happened?"

He was about to respond when I gave him another look. I looked back to my dad.

"I'll only re-open if you tell me what happened!" He was getting mad.

"Kyler grabbed her, and"

"MIGUEL!" I exclaimed.

"Forced a kiss." He finished.

"What?" Dad was mad.

"It's not that big of a deal, could you just please re-open." I said pleading.

"Okay. We will be having practice tomorrow, don't be late." He said.

We all went home after, I needed to have a conversation with my brother.
