"Umm, I-I-I'm Alex" I stated nervously. "Umm... Alex is short for Alexandra" I added hastily
"Oh, for a moment I didn't know what to say about that name of yours..."
"I know, when you first think of the name Alex you automatically think of a boy"
"Umm, yeah..."
"Typical" I sighed, "Every time I introduced myself as just Alex in school, I would either get funny looks from people or I'd be teased and made fun of for having a boys' name-- like seriously were your parents wanting a boy when... oh, to their surprise they had you"
"Oh, Alex sweetie-- where on earth did you hear that...?"
"Oh, that last part; yeah, some of the kids at school used to bully me; saying stuff like that, along with some other words" I sighed, as I remembered everything. "...I'll tell ya more later, back at the Stables" I muttered before walking off.
"Well, come on... the horse and donkeys aren't going to load themselves" I called, Mrs. Miller and Ponyboy shrugged wondering what that was about. Knowing that they wouldn't know the rest until we got back to the home stables, they each said their goodbyes to the auctioneer quickly before heading out.
