"Oh cool," I shrugged,
"Come on let's go help, Mrs. Miller, with the horses and donkeys" he offered his outstretched head to me, which I gratefully excepted.
...
We walked back to the trailer where we found Mrs. Miller had just start unloading the animals.
"Well, hi again," she said looking directly at me.
I grinned sadly.
"You okay?"
"I don't wanna talk about it" I lowered my head,
"Oh, okay" she replied, her sweet voice filled with pure understanding. "Here you can help me if you want"
"With what?" I sighed
"Why training your horse, of course" she smiled "by the way what do you plan on using this horse for?"
"Umm, well... I was just thinking about... maybe becoming a Jockey"
"Whoa, a Jockey-- why that's one of the most dangerous horse careers out there"
"It is?" Pony asked, suddenly intrigued.
"Yes it is" she answered then turned to me. "Are you sure that's what you wanna do?"
"Yes"
"... and you're up for the task?"
"Yes"
"Even though it might get hard at some points"
"Yes, yes, yes" I chanted excitedly,
"Well okay then" she chuckled, "Now help unload these guys will ya-- the sooner we get these guys out and settle in, the sooner we can get started"
"Cool! ... umm, started with what exactly?"
"Why, you training to become a Jockey; of course"
"Oh right," I corrected myself hastily, walking around the back of the trailer. After Mrs. Miller unloaded the precious pets she instructed me and Ponyboy to run and get some halters and lead ropes.
