"BRAMBLEPAW!" Brightpaw yowled angrily when she spotted the tabby tom. He whipped around and groaned, before glaring at her angrily.
"What do you want?" He hissed at the silver tabby she-cat. She swiped her paw at him and whacked him in the face, hard, with her claws sheathed. Bramblepaw stood in shock, not comprehending what just happened.
"You fish-brain! Can't you see how much your attitude is affecting Hawkpaw?! She looks up to you, and you're treating her like mouse-bile!" She hissed, her fur fluffing up and her eyes dangerous sapphire slits. Bramblepaw's gaze hardened and he hissed back at her angrily.
"I don't care! I just want her to leave me alone!" He yowled. There was a gasp and both apprentices looked up to see Hawkpaw standing there. Her emerald eyes were wide and she was stone still. Brightpaw tensed and took a pawstep towards her friend.
"Hawkpaw-"
"I'm sorry for being such an... Inconvenience for you, Bramblepaw. You have my word I will never bother you again." She mewed softly before turning around and sprinting away.
"HAWKPAW!" Brightpaw called after her friend. She glared at Bramblepaw and shook her head at him angrily before chasing after the brown she-cat. Bramblepaw felt his heart twist with regret but pushed it off and padded away.
Oh, he would regret what he said later, Brightpaw thought as she chased after Hawkpaw.
